I don't know how the agent hiring/firing stuff works but I'd imagine he'd fire him before he signs a deal so Boras doesn't get a cut if he's going to get a new agent.

I don't believe anything I hear when it comes to a Boras negotiation. The fact that something came out from Boras' strategic leaker Heyman saying Alonso desperately wants to go back to the Mets makes me think it's all a ploy to get the Jays to up their offer

I am so over the constant back and forth with Alonso. At this point Alonso and Boras can go to Mexico for all I care. the fact this is still dragging on makes me think he is coming to the Mets but just get it done already. He is killing his image IMO

It's been a rough patch for the Cardinals, and I know its no consolation, but there are twenty other teams that would kill to have had the success St. Louis has had for just the last twenty years alone.

Pirates signed Tommy Pham to a one year deal.

This means that in July, the Cardinals and Pirates will make a trade where the Pirates get young talent and the Cardinals receive Tommy Pham.

Mets offered 3 years, but he took 2 years and an opt out. The Boras Special.

Rejected 3x71 and took 2x54.

Higher AAV for a 2 year deal, but if he really thinks he's getting a higher deal next season then maybe it's worth the risk.

Or are the rumors true and he'll find a new agent in time for his next deal?

Jays definitely getting more played than usual at this point?

Rumors a while back were them offering Bregman a 5 or 6 year deal.

Now reports coming out that Bregman only wants a long term deal....aka the deal he's already been offered.

So they're for sure playing the waiting game to get someone to match the Jays offer.
