    Re: 2007 Cincinnati Reds

Can the Reds find any more ways to lose than they did last night? That was insane.

Don't get me started about the ball 4 call, that led to the winning run walking across the plate.

Yeah ball 4 looked like a strike to me!

By the way do any of you guys listen to Richard Skinner or Lance McCallister on 1530 homer?
Their shows are getting really old as of late, all they talk about for 7 hrs a day is how the Reds need to fire Narron. Get over it already, firing Narron is not all of a sudden going to make the bullpen good!

I would not want Brenly either. I know he won a World Series with the Diamondbacks but let's face it, he rode Johnson and Schilling to the title and almost blew it with Byung-Hyun Kim.

That was probably one of the worst called ball 4's that I have ever seen. Even the fans behind the plate knew it was strike 3. You could tell from their facial expressions. But apparently, the ump didn't know how to call strike 3.

          Absolutely atrocious call.

But yeah, it's getting REALLY old on the show. It's getting to the point where I think they could just tape 1 show, and re-air it over and over, since it's the same things, over and over.

Nice road trip. If they lose both series this week against the Nats and Pirates, it's going to be hard for Krivsky and Castellini not to do some sort of shakeup.

                Who? Me? Sarcastic? Nahhhhh

They need to get their act together. Arroyo is pitching tonight. This on the heels of the big signing today of INF Pedro Lopez, who is a White Sox castoff. In the immortal words of Marv Albert, "YESSS!"

Yeah, I like the signing... should be a good addition to our squad.

W/ Bronson on the hill, I like our chances to start turning things around... tonight!

Bronson didn't do anything good but thankfully the Nats suck and allowed the Reds to come back and win 8-7. Javy Valentin is money when pinch-hitting.

I don't blame you. They are a weird team at GABP with their comeback wins though. Been that way since the place opened. They had no business being down 6-0 in the first place tonight. Anyway, I may try and go to the game on Wednesday night and get me an Arroyo bobblehead. I don't think I've actually seen the Expos since they became the Nats. Need to cross them off my list at some point.

I think I'm heading to a Friday evening game sometime in the next few weeks... Going to try to hit up 5-10 games between now and KSP time.

Back on Griffey... MAN... that HR he hit, was so effortless. I loved it. He just swung... and watched it sail. I love Jr's swing... it's such a thing of beauty. Loving that Valentin came up so clutch too.

Homey Bailey pitched today for the Bats against the Columbus Clippers. 5 and 2/3, 0 ER, 1 H, 7 K. I would've gone to see him, but I was at work...seriously, who starts a game at 11:35 am?

in the 8th of the game, they flashed a Reds minor league hitter and pitcher of the month.

the pitcher was Daryl Thompson, of the Dayton Dragons. Thompson was the fifth player to come over in the Kearns-Lopez trade. His line this month:

                                4-0, 0.39 ERA, 19 K, 1 BB
