Credit to the Giants, they had timely hitting with RISP in the series.

On another note, our pitching has been money all year, including our very own Benitez converting 7/7 save chances. Kinda reminding us why we brought him in back in 2005. A pleasant surprise to say the least. Last year he blew a save in the first game he appeared in. Big bat by Durham to pickup Bond's DP

Damn Bonds was intentionally walked twice tonight and the Giants still couldn't capitalize after.

Frack, make that intentionally walked 3 times tonight, man this is frustrating because Durham is not doing jack.

Yeah bad night for Ray he had so many chances, oh well can't win them all. Zito did a great job too, until they tie it, then he gave it right back to the D Back. Oh well Cain tomorrow.

Durham had 1st and 2nd, 2 outs FOUR times today, and didn't once even comes close to sniffing a hit, let alone a run to score. The one time he didn't have a runner in scoring position, he singles.

Watch when Bochy puts Winn behind Bonds tomorrow.

Yeah I wonder if Bochy is going to shakeup the lineup since the D-Backs will probably keep walking Bonds. Durham might need to hit elsewhere, since he was only hot in his contract year.

I dunno, I dont think you can just throw Durham around in the lineup just because of one bad game. He's been solid for the most part and really there is noone else that would be a better fit than him. Think about it, do you really want someone like Feliz to bat behind Bonds instead? Naah. Also, good to see Winn finally getting a few hits these last few games

This wasn't just a bad game. Ray Durham had runners on first and second with two outs four times last night, and he didn't put a ball off of the ground (when it was on the ground, it wasn't solid either). He just doesn't seem to be the right person in the spot, and I don't feel like he should be that person, either.

Also, I want Feliz off the team. I want our hitting coach to look at Klesko, and tell him (if he's unaware) that his hands are higher and more separated from his body this year than in years past. After that, they need to change his approach; whether it's only looking inside or having to committ the other way, we need one or the other to unfold. Then, we bench Feliz except when left-handed hitters are pitching. Some other team will gladly take Feliz for the good things that he can do, and could give us a man to protect Bonds better than Durham can for it (doesn't have to be a slugger... just has to protect the guy).

I also believe that Bonds needs to bat third again. When I was watching the Giants/Padres series in San Diego, the Padres announcers repeatedly said that the Giants don't have a #4 hitter to hit behind Bonds, so they'll keep walking him to get to the next guy, so Bonds needs to bat fourth. What's the difference between that and now a #5 hitter to bat behind Bonds?

Here's my lineup for these Gigantes:

                              1. Dave Roberts CF
                              2. Rich Aurilia 3B
                              3. Barry Bonds LF
                              4. Ryan Klesko 1B
                              5. Bengie Molina C
                              6. Randy Winn RF
                              7. Omar Vizquel SS
                              8. Ray Durham 2B
                              9. pitcher

Remember, the #8 hitter is very important... almost a second leadoff hitter, but doesn't necessarily need speed. He needs to protect the #9 batter from batting in the next inning, and I prefer Durham there over Winn. Plus, I'm tired of watching Vizquel not produce by moving the lead runner over. I always fear he's going to hit into a double play when Roberts leads off with a single... always. Besides, this calibur lineup worked in 2001, and I think we should do it again.

Molina is doing really well. I want to see him up there more often.

And remember, this is really looking at a RHP and assuming that Klesko reverts back to his old habits. Only once so far this year have I seen him smoke a ball like he used to three or four out of five times in the past. Bochy plays short-term with lineup changes, so with that I feel like he'll try something new. Durham took a loud o'fer, as did Feliz and Vizquel. It's time to try new things, and I think it's time to bat Bonds 3rd again.

Well Bonds was intentionally walked yet again and the D-Backs have won again. It looks like the rest of the league may do the same thing. Well at least Pedro hit a homer tonight, blehhhh!!!!
