I was very surprised that Bonds was playing. When was the last time he had an actual day off? I mean, yeah, he only played maybe 4 innings on Thursday, but that was very surprising to see him play this game.

Hopefully he'll be in tomorrow night on Sunday Night Baseball (don't see why he wouldn't, but you never know).

Bonds is playing because they have 5:00 game tomorrow and not a 1:00 game. Any ways he is fully back and very feared!

Wow, do the Giants ever have a monopoly on pitching in the NL West. Zito, Cain, Lowry, and now Lincecum.

I don't know about his long-term durability though. Might be another Wood/Prior/Harden story.

The whole NL West is stacked with pitching... well, outside of Aaron Cook for the Colorado Rookies.

I'm hoping he's more of a Roy Oswalt / Billy Wagner type of guy. Small framed with the ability to throw heat.. one can only hope.

Great win by the Giants tonight, and congrats to Benji for being the last Giant in 30 years to homer twice in the same inning.

Well.. there goes Linden after being designated for assignment. Lewis and Ortmeier have been called up to replace him and Roberts, who will be out about a month. Lewis is a burner on the bases so maybe it'll create some sort of spark. I'm sure Linden will be claimed off waivers by someone willing to take a chance on him. He does have power and the ability to be a 25HR type of guy. Speaking of our young position players... I wish Frandsen would get more playing time, too bad he's blocked by Durham

I can't say that I blame Linden too much, our hitting coach doesn't do **** to work on players' stances, swings, and overall approaches. But, I do blame him, and I'm glad that he's gone. He wasn't even too fast.

Too bad Bonds is hitting again, because on cue, teams are once again pitching around him. As Bonds goes, so does your offense.

The Giants is not a good team for prospects. At least in the hitting prospect. They want players to know how to hit all ready. That is the problem when you want to win now and not later.

Can someone tell me what's going on in the Giants game? MLB.com and ESPN.com Gamecasts have been frozen for the last 20 minutes on Josh Fogg batting with one out and a runner on first in the 7th inning, and they don't seem to want to resume any time soon.

Well Lincecum just assured himself that he'll be getting another start going 7 strong. Giants put up 8 in the final 3 innings.
