I know. I hate seeing when umpires do this, even though some fans may enjoy calls like that happening, it just changes the game... yet you can't get rid of them because the human element also makes games into classics.

2 out of 3 isn't bad. I thought we would've lost against Cain yesterday and won today. They have to focus on those pesky Rockies.

Not at all happy with the umpire, however the Padres did not execute with the many opportunities they had. 11 men LOB.

You'd lose that bet. I hate it when an ump pulls that crap and I wouldn't be going around being a jackass saying "That's baseball" and "This is the show!". Sure you can tell the pitcher to "keep that crap in the minors", but most of the umps these days are carrying the swagger to where they think they're the show. Let the players play.

Too many 2 out rallies reminiscint of the past couple of years of the Padres failing to score runs. The offense deserves blame too, especially since they didn't get it together until late in the game.

Bottomline, the Gianst aren't a good team. When Ray Durham is your cleanup hitter, you're not good.

Took two out of 3 on the road to open the season I'll take it.

It is baseball and I will tell you something, it was a lot worst when I was a kid! That is just how it goes. But that is a rookie mistake, you can't do it.

Hensley isn't a rookie. Hopefully he will learn that umpires can be sensitive. I believe Jake had something happen to him back in 2003.

Kouzmanoff and Greene should be forced into early practice shagging fly balls between second and third until they learn how to communicate.

Certainly a better start than 1-1 the past two years and 1-2 in 2004.

Offense has shown more so far. Started off a little flat but its good to see they didn't go down without fight. I wouldn't mind seeing Branyan get a few spot starts early on this season at third. Kouz is the guy but his minor league stats suggest he never started a season hot.

You guys were due to win one, now you'll drop the next three to LA on queue.

I'm really rooting for the Pads this year. Kevin Kouzmanoff is one of my favorite players since watching him grow daily with the Lake County Captains minor league team. The only major leaguer I can actually say I have had conversations with, pictures with, and autographs by. Pretty cool!
