Lineup still struggling. Rockies however seem to have no trouble hitting here.

Frustrating to see the offense not get it together until the ninth. First two games were a treat, but it seems like the bats have been stifled. Hopefully no one panics about Kouzmanoff's slow start. I'm already seeing people calling for Branyan at third.

Tomorrow again. I lost my opener on MLB 07 against the Rockies too.

Last night's experience at the ballpark, along with my lack of abiltiy to get Padre games on DTV has pretty much sealed the deal, that I am becoming a full time Angel fan.

You see, this is what sport should be all about. I'm thinking of becoming a Giants fan because they are closer to me. Nevermind the fact I've been a Padre fan for 29 years now. Thanks for helping me see the light.

Has nothing to do with proximity. Has to do with experience at the park, being fan friendly, and a commmitment to winning. The funny thing is, in 93, when there were literrally 4,000 fans in the yard every night, I Was one of them. But at this point, this team has all but lost my desire to follow thm.

Ballpark experience, commitment to winning, commitment to the fans, and the ridiculous cable only TV deal (now if I want to watch them, I have to buy Cox cable), have just about sealed it for me.

I'll have fun being able to watch this team on TV. I'll have fun spending less money on a better product. I'll have fun, going to a park, where it feels like they actually want my business. I'll have fun watching Vlad, (the Padres simply don't have anyone that compares).

The biggest is though, I'll have fun enjoying a team that wants me as a fan, and that is serious about contending for a championship.

OH NOES ITS THE ROCKIES!!! Continutes with Fogg vs. Wells.

The lineup vs Josh Fogg (aka as the Rockies 5th starter and 5th starters are always get Cy Young worthy performances against the Padres):

                  2B Giles R
                  RF Giles L
                  1B Gonzalez L
CF Cameron R <-- Still got no clean up hitter guys, last two games maybe a player with star power would make a difference eh?
                  SS Greene R
                  3B Branyan L
                  LF Sledge L
                  C Bowen S
                  P Wells L

There is enough power through out the lineup...their is no need for a high priced "POWER HITTER" OVER RATED...

But, Cameron at 4....just doesn't work for me...I say Move him to 5th hole and have Bard or in this case try Branyan

Yeah because the lineups they've had without a true power hitter have worked out so well.

Last time they had a legit 4 hitter, they went to the WS. Coincidence? Probably not.

It's not just the way they play. It's the ballpark experience at Petco. Which is I am not the impressed with. It's the TV deal with Cox, which basically locks DTV users like myself out. It's the pain in the *** to get down in to the gaslamp to see a game. It's the ridiculous prices. It's the selling out to the coporate dollar at all turns now (Bar and baclony on top of Western Metal Supply building is being rented out to private parties now).

The Angels actually act like they want my business. They actually go out and get players and make an attempt to be a title contender. I can watch them on TV. Arte Moreno is a great owner. The exact opposite of John Moores.

No that would be Greg Vaughn. Who hit 50 bombs had I believe about 130 RBI and carried the offense through June and July whiile Tony Gwynn and Caminiti and crew had various injuries.

And don't call him that. I knew Caminiti from way back (went to Leigh HS in San Jose). Have some respect.
