This is what I'm reading since I cannot watch the game, but it seems pretty obvious that Emmel was holding a grudge against Hensley. I hope this guy gets fired so we don't have to deal with these hot shots. Umpiring is already bad as it is.
I find it a bit silly that you're making such a case for your argument and resentment against the guy when you're doing it completely blind and by the views of OTHER Padre fans. I must say that the strikezone was inconsistant, but for BOTH teams. The reason for the explosion in the 5th was the blunder produced by Greene and Kouzmanoff. Padres made a mistake, Giants capitalized and somehow we won because of the vendetta towards Hensley. I'll take it.
    I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can't

there was 5 pitches that should have been strikes...on tap. The Giants wouldn't have even came close to 5 runs in that game if it wasn't for the ump taking over the game.

3 walks in a row by Hensley doesn't happen, review the tap take a close look at the calls that for " Supposed Balls "

Yes the Strike zone was inconsistent but, it got worst in the 5th and what about that Horrible Strike out against Adrian??

What are you doing? The games over we lost and the umpire sucked. Time to move on.

How about more clutch hits and less mistakes on an infield fly that a couple of little leaguers could have made.

Got to see that play in the newspaper today. Pretty funny.

I remember in baseball practice my coach made everyone in the team communicate in each play wherever the ball went. Even in an infield pop out, the outfielders were required to bark out whichever number position had the best way to field and not only that people had to call each other off.

You're just trying to get on me the past 24 hours huh?

Completely blind when Clay Hensley all of sudden can't get strikes called on pitches in the zone on MLB's gameday tracker? Completely blind when the Giants announcers, although not mentioning, knew something was going on between the umpire and pitcher? That Clay Hensley all of sudden throws I don't know how many balls to 1 or 2 strikes?

The zone has been terrible the whole series and I will admit that reading the forums since I don't have the luxury of watching the games. Both sides were getting squeezed but what I'm saying is this guy held a grudge against Hensley for one call over the next three at bats with two outs. Had this not happened, different outcome and that play may not have happened between Greene and Kouzmanoff.

Too many if's. 159 games to go. Enough with this foolish debate. Series is over and we took it 2-1. Good enough and now it's time to focus on the Rockies.

Yeah what was even funnier is you saw it before it happen. I mean when I was watching it I could see it happen before it happen. If that make sense! lol I was watching it and I could see they were going to collide.

Well I think you are wrong about the Giants announcers, at least when that kid showed up the ump, Mike said something about it. And then it happen. I understand you being upset, but it happens, also that umps stikezone changed every inning! lol

Yeah... I was praying for them to do it. I mean, every time, something ends up happening where they actually don't hit (or if they do, they somehow catch it anyway). This was one of the first times that that didn't happen, and that there was no catch.

I swear, that was the poorest communication ever. As an outfielder, on every play like that, even I direct who should be getting that ball. Blame Kouzmanoff.

I might be the only Padre fan here right now, but no surprises with the lineup.

The San Diego Padres' Lineup vs. Hirsh:

                          2B Giles R
                          RF Giles L
                          1B Gonzalez L
                          C Bard S
                          CF Cameron R
                          SS Greene R
                          3B Kouzmanoff R
                          LF Sledge L
                          P Maddux R

The Rockies always give us trouble, regardless of who their pitcher is or who is batting for them.

Typical of the Rockies. They aren't competitive until they play they play the Padres.
