They are out of your market then. Don't blame the Angels, blame the MLB. Really, if you are going to complain about something like that, at least have a semblance of a clue as to what you are talking about. The Padres TV deal is universally considered the worst deal in the league. Sandy Alderson thinks that the lack of exposure it created last year, may have cost Trevor Hoffman a Cy Young. Really, next time, know what you are talking about on this subject, before blindly dropping to your knees to defend all things Padres.

But where as earlier all he was doing was swinging at everything trying to pull it and not trying to work the count. But he is slowly starting to do it if you have watched the games.
Thanks to MLBTV, I've watched the games. He still stinks and is clueless at the plate. As I said, Kevin Maas of this generation.

Yeah, because sitting here with knee pads on, and swallowing whatever Kevin Towers and crew send your way is really going to change things as well.

As far as being hearsay you may want to hit up the dictionary and figure out what that means, so you can not only spell it properly, but also, apply it correctly.

Yeah, no way we can rely on this team to go out and sign a big time free agent. It's funny because if you really want the quality and the talent, you have to give up a lot to get that talent especially with how baseball works with the 29 or so teams that want the talent on their ballclub (with the exception of the Nationals/Expos). The market isn't going to die down anytime soon and in a few years the ridiculous deals some of these players got this past offseason will look like steals. If you're afraid of getting into bidding wars and signing a big time free agent when your team needs one, then what good is it for the person to be a GM?

Good to see there's a ray of sunshine over on the Padre boards.

BTW, you want to talk about pathetic offenses? I'd trade ours for yours, any day of the week.

You got 4 on the board now. That's a pretty good night for the Padres.

Better yet if you're afraid to invest money in order to compete for a championship, then what good is it to own a baseball team?

Look, I am not saying go out and sign every FA you can find. We've seen that fail time and time again. But if you can't develop your own talent, then you've got to find another way to acquire championship caliber players.

Look at our lineup and then a team like the Mets lineup. How many players in the Padres lineup would have a shot at playing every day for a team like the Mets? 1 maybe 2? That's how far this team has to go.

After 6 innings 0 runs and 1 hit. Shocking.

              This team is a joke.

That's the quota for the week. BTW, before the huge inning, the Dodgers stranded the bases loaded in the 1st. I can't even tell you how many 1st and 3rd, 1 out, bases loaded, 1 out situations the Dodgers have botched.

At least you have a meat-and-potatoes player you can rely on, Gonzalez, we have Nomar, Russell Martin, and ????????

Well, Aaron Harang isn't a slouch, but he's not having that good of a season.

He owns the Padres. Kind of like how the Padres own Jason Schmidt for whatever reason.

Maybe that's what the NL West gets for not getting any offense this past offseason.

Through 7 innings tonight. Padres 0 runs 1 hit.

Nope, they're actually helping out my fantasy team by not getting anything off Aaron Harang.

A-Rod almost has as many home runs as the Dodgers.

The Dodgers bat .133 with the bases loaded (only better than the Nationals) and .220 with RISP w/ 2 outs.

Aaron Harang falls off the mound mid windup. Balk called game tied at 1.
