As you all know I am a cardinals fan, but I just wanted to say congrats on clinching:wink: I look forward to trying it again next year and it's about time we have some competition in the central, it was getting boring owning the division without a fight. Keep your eye on the prize and listen to Jimmy cubbies, his experience will be valueable to this team if they hope to do better in the playoffs this year. Represent the central well guys

thanks. Great show by your team, especially considering how they were bashed by the media at the beginning of the season.

but

the NLC has been competitive for years. on a near-annual basis the NLC brings close races and good teams. The Astros, Cards, and Cubs have been slugging it our for awhile, and Milwaukee has joined the fight. There has been no division in baseball as deep as the NLC, and this year was certainly no exception.

I am proud that the Cubs are a part of this division, and not he ALW. A division title is quite meaningful here.

Don't know why but it feels great beating a NY team and crushing their Playoff hopes slowly.

Got to seal the deal on the series tomorrow night.

It is apparently a battle between Pie and Hoff...

Pie can be a weapon on the bases, but that is about it...we have enough defense in the OF to get by without him...

Surely Hoffpauir sealed the deal tonight.

Id rather play the Mets. They seem to have the most shaky pitching. Sabathia/Sheets kind of worries me.

Yeah, I'd rather play the Mets too. All the other teams have at least two good or hot starters. The Mets only have Santana, really.

That said, though, it's always nice to see New York teams not make the postseason, so I'd like to see a small market like Milwaukee crash the party and ruin things for New York. Either way has its upside.

If CC/Sheets is scary, just throw Gallardo into that mix.
Things are shaping up nicely for Milwaukee, they are hot right now, and their #2 starter from the beginning of the season is back and looks good to go.

The Cubbies pen better get it's **** together; and Lee and ARam better start looking like hitters again. ARam looked like last year's MLDS ARam, and Lee is making a case for the worst #3 guy in the bigs. Finally a broadcaster called him out on his near-league-leading GIDP numbers.

I suspect Milwaukee will win the WC, the Mets don't seem to have it. That would leave the Cubs facing LA in the first round, yes?

Well, I am not worried at all.................

The Mets and the Brewers are are bunch *****bags. Our guys are in, they have wrapped up HFA, just like you and me, they are not killing themselves for meaningless games. If I am taking vacation next week.....come about Thursday afternoon, I start to go into "vacation" mode.

The perfect scenario is that Mets and the Brewers tie and have to play a playoff game, how great would that be. Neither the Mets or the Brewers scare me at all. I have had a whole season to watch those idiots flounder all over themselves, and they will do the same come the playoffs. Watching these last 3 or 4 games has been pitiful and painful all at once. Half of the time we have scrubs on the field and the Mets struggled to split the series with us.

Maybe I am just blinded right now...but I say bring on either one of the damn bums so we can wipe them out of the playoffs and not have to hear about them anymore.

If I am wrong, I will come on and say I am wrong, but for the love of God, they are going to have to prove me wrong.....and If I am right..........please Mets and/or Brewers, just go away for the winter. I will put Zambrano, Harden and Dempster up against anyone elses staff, and yes that includes the Dynamice duo of rent a player Sabathia and Ben " all it takes is a Sheets" to hurt me. If I am not mitaken, they were the same duo that we faced in the last four game set in Wrigley North............and if my memory serves me correctly...they didn't fare very well.

Thanks Jitters, very classy indeed. Can anyone explain to me why I have so much repsect for the Cardinals and their fans, but hate the Brewers and their fans with a passion!!!!!!
