Nope but luckily the Pads didnt use alot of funds for him. I dont think Prior will get any more chances if he's not playing/healthy in September

What a bizzare sequence of events in the pAAAdres vs. The Cardnials game tonight.

Albert Pujols hit's a ball off of 6' 10'' pitcher Chris Young's nose, he goes down in a heap, blood all over the mound. Young out, replaced by Cla Meredith. Puljols get's to second and on a hit comes home with Josh Bard blocking the plate, they got tangled up and Bard's leg was turned the wrong way, Bard out.

When I think of this I can't help but think of Scott Erickson...I believe it happened to him...I hope Chris is gonna be okay.

Apparently there are ways to be worse than last in MLB.

"The Padres announced Thursday they have promoted right-handed pitchers Jared Wells, Mike Adams and Josh Banks from Triple-A Portland in addition to a catcher from Double-A San Antonio, Colt Morton.

The club designated right-handed pitcher Justin Germano for assignment, and left-handed pitcher Joe Thatcher was optioned to Portland.

Additionally, the Padres placed right-handed pitcher Chris Young and catcher Josh Bard on the 15-day disabled list before their game against the Reds at PETCO Park."

Despite the bad start to the week, the boys show that there IS power in the lineup tonight with 4 HR's!

Adrian will hit a few, but you are most likely correct about the rest of the "team"

Random but in my MLB 08: Show season, Khalil Greene is 2nd in the majors in homeruns with 39 lol.

Any news on Mark Prior about his shoulder and when to expect him back?

As of today, that's true. Just announced shoulder surgery that's going to end his season. There's a wasted million...

On a happier note, Gonzalez leads the NL in RBI's!

Not really, I mean, no one really expected Prior to do anything this year... right?

We wasted more by trading for Jim Edmonds and also trading away a prospect we probably could've used for a different trade.

Adrian will probably be our lone representative for the all-star game this year. Opposing teams are stupid to not pitch around him.

That's assuming he MAKES the All-Star game. The mass public loves Pujols, and tends to ignore SD.

Every team gets one representative. Adrian Gonzalez has been our best player and it'd be stupid if anyone else gets in. No one else has done well aside from Giles, who even then won't be in the running to be an all-star.

My bad. I forgot that MLB has a rep from every team. Definitely gonna be Gonzo then. After today, he's 2nd in the league in both HR's, and RBI's. I looked at the fan voting though, and as of this morning, he's not even in the top 5 for NL 1B.
