No kidding!!! 5 of those games were played in the virtual bandboxes of AT&T Park and Dodger stadium.

Germano got lit up in the first, but Edmonds got 1 back on a solo shot. I'm glad this is a hitter's park. 5-1 Houston, top 2nd.

It's going to be a long year.

Fire Towers, Alderson and force Moores to sell the team.

Re: The Official San Diego Padres Thread

          Welcome back crappy Germano.

Moores won't sell the team, Towers and Alderson won't get fired. I sure wish we could get a GM that had Tower's ability to find relievers on the cheap at the right time, and GM that wouldn't screw up trades, a GM that wouldn't mind going after premium players and a front office that could careless about a guy's major league service time playing a factor into whether he plays or not, oh, not to mention not being afraid to pay the bucks to keeping stars (Peavy is a start), or investing in minor league talent (ahem, Matt Bush).

We aren't going to keep pace with the D-Backs, hell, we'll be muddled in mediocrity with the Rockies, Dodgers, and Giants. Might as well commit to having your future up and getting experience. Headley and Antonelli aren't lighting it up in AAA, but neither are Hairston, Iguchi, and McAnulty at the major league level.

To be honest, it's kind of sad that aside from Gonzalez, Clark, Kouzmanoff, Peavy, Bell, and Hoffman, our minors... wait, no our Triple-A team has more talent. Maybe I'm being a little ridiculous, but hell, I'd rather watch the Beavers now than the Padres. Same old ****, no offense, wasted pitching (except for today), and same old bs.

At least I have MLB The Show with my fake Padres.

Back and forth game today, but Friars are only down 1 with one out, and a man on third in the 8th. Gonzo is a single shy of the cycle.

Molina hits a solo shot off Trevor, giving Hoff his 2nd blown save, and taking away Mad Dog's 350.

Hey Padres, go and lose more games and get that high draft pick so you can f it up by getting another Matt Bush.

Hey KT/Alderson, first move you can to salvage this disappointing season is get the young guys experience, stop delaying because Hairston/McAnulty/Edmonds/Iguchi/Huber aren't going to cut it.

Chris Young went 7 innings, gave up 2 hits, 1 run, 3 walks, and had 10 K's.

On any other team, that's pretty much a gift wrapped win.

Any team that had this starting rotation would be doing well if that team had a good offense and a nice bullpen, both of which we now lack.

And I thought the team was boring last year.

                        Here is some nice offensive numbers;
                        29th in hitting average
                        30th Slugging percentage
                        28th On base percentage
                        28th Stolen Bases
                        2nd Strikeouts
                        26th total bases
                        28th Runs batted in
                        24th Home runs
                        28th Runs scored

Hey Kenny Loften is out there and available, should/would the padres be interested?

No, the Padres much rather be interested in mediocre players who can't hit, field, throw, pitch, or run.

Not very good. It's the Brandon Webbs, Matt Cains, top starters I don't fear, but the Hiroki Kurodas, Jonathan Sanchezes, and those other lower end of the rotation pitchers that I fear.

                                Stupid ***-backwards Padres.
