Sure, it's nowhere near as easy to get to and parking must be $$$$ (unless the trolley runs there) but it's gotta be better than that concrete monster in mission valley.
Petco is arguably one of the top stadiums in all of the MLB. It's extremely spacious though, and not a place that's friendly to hitters. Parking isn't that bad at all. You can take the trolley, but I just went to a game on Opening Weekend, and parked in a garage, 2 blocks North of the stadium for $8.

Personally, I love Petco, but I'm also a huge fan of pitching (as long as the pitching doesn't take the game into 18 innings...)

No kidding, I have to stop watching the game sometime soon. But I have to admit, I'm watching the Padres feed, and those booth guys are friggin hilarious. At this point I'm watching the game just for them.

lol... I don't have video (Blackout Restrictions), but I hear Matty V is about to eat his hat.

        Ledezma has been impressive though!

Having been to almost every stadium in MLB, I can honestly say it's one of my least favorite of all the "New" stadiums. Too many obstructed view seats, terrible sight lines, overpriced, parking in the gaslamp is a complete pain in the ***.

Go to PNC Park, or AT&T Park, Camden Yard, or Citizen Bank, and then go to Petco. Night and day, Petco doesn't even compare. Just for the Parks in California, I prefer Angels Stadium and AT&T over Petco. It is nicer than the Coliseum in Oakland I will give it that. The one redeeming factor for Petco, is if you can get a seat on the top balcony at the Western Metal Supply building where the Bar is, that's a pretty cool place to watch the game. But in the past you can only stay out there for 4 innings and you have to get on the list to get out there. That is, if they haven't rented it out to a coproration. Petco is nothing more than a giant money grab for John Moores. It'd be nice if he took some of that money and put it back in to the ballclub.

All in all, Petco is a so-so experience when compared to the other newer parks and even some of the older parks in the league. Hell you live in Denver, imo, Coors is a much nicer place to watch a game. Although I have only been there a few times. Sure beats watching baseball game in Mile High stadium, that's for sure. Although the $1 Rockpile tickets they had at Mile High, sure fit a college kids budget.

I like Vasgergian. Grant annoys me, maybe it's because I have met him a few times and he's a complete tool. But you watch them long enough and they do start to grate on you. But it could be worse, if you watch Angel games, you have to listen to Rex Hudler on a regular basis.

Yeah Coors is a pretty good place, not to mention it's completely open all the way around..ie you can see the game even when not in your seat. Rockpile tickets have gone up a bit tho, especially since the World Series.

Gaslamp has to be hell for going to a game tho, I avoided that area before the stadium.

Nah, Grant is killing me. How often do watch a baseball game and get Caddyshack and Blazzing Saddles references?

It's pretty bad. But it absolutely ridiculous if you go to a game on a weekend or a Friday night. Brutal. I have started parking over by Joe's Crabshack behind the Convention Center, it's a bit of a hike out of the stadium, but it's easier to get in and out of.

If you watch the Padres, you can get those references pretty much every night, with this crew.

Bahnzo if you ever get the chance, I can't recommend PNC Park enough. While Pittsburgh isn't all that great, the ballpark is imo, the nicest in the league, absolutely a great place to watch a game. Good prices as well.

Taveras SB, and an Error on Bard, so now Taveras on 3rd with 2 outs.

Edit,. and Tulowitski doubles him in.

Padres have their own channel, that is only local, so unless you have MLB TV or the Extra Innings package, I don't think so.
