Lat nights game was the first time all season where the atmosphere felt like the atmosphere from the old stadium. Especially in the 5th when Joba was on a roll. After that, it seemed like it was just "bleh" and went downhill.

The Yanks will turn this around. I just know it. They have too much talent on the team to keep this up all season long. They are at .500 and are only 4.5 gms out of first. Not too bad considering we lost 5 in a row against the Sox. So, as a fan, I like to put things in perspective before starting to panic.

I hear you my friend. Lets start winning and playing consistently!!!

Damn. Nothing is going right for the Yankees. Hopefully we can get on a roll when A-Rod comes back. Let's not panic quite yet.

Yeah....Come on Yanks...Lets start to play like the Yanks and not look so lifeless!!!!! A nice 4-5 game winning streak is what I want to see. Some damn consistency!

Edit: Let me clarify, some damn "positive" consistency. The Yanks have been consistent but consistently loosing.

Can't remember the last time I've seen back-to-back homers off Rivera.

Edit: It never happened before. Figures.

Ditto, if A-Rod wasn't coming back tonight there is no way I'd watching the game. It's too depressing.

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees

CC needs to start coming around, tex will start hitting. Our offense needs to hit with runners in scoring position. Our starters need to be a little sharper and go a little longer, keep the pitch count down early on. The bullpen needs a whole new look dfa veras and some of the other guys i dunno bullpen is a major concern. We need posada, moline, bruney and nady to come back soon and healthy. Hopefully with a-rod coming back we can get something going. We need to actually get an early lead for once every game lately we are trailing early, then tie and then lose it again in the end. Mo i'm not worried about maybe he was a little shaky last night he might just be kinda rusty considering he hasnt had a reason to really pitch lately. We need to be consistent with wins, this series starting in baltimore we gotta get it going lets win a series, a sweep would be big.

So Molina heading to the DL now. Maybe Girardi could play catcher?

I went to the game last night and that Stadium is lifeless. It's way too corporate. I mean it's beautiful and everything but it's a giant Pfizer building. Just a bunch of suits walking around with their business partners and booing every time someone doesn't perform.

The booing is getting disgusting too. It's becoming a ego trip for "fans" that think they have the right to just boo if you aren't performing as they think you should. Yankees fans need to get over themselves. I blame the media for hyping this up so much. It's gotten to the point that it's the cool thing to do and it's stupid.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

At least A-rod's bat will join the line-up tonight.
