Is there any reason behind CC starting tomorrow and Joba getting pushed to Sunday?

My guess is that they want to keep CC going on his normal pitching schedule. Usually some teams skip their 5th starter in the start of the season, because of that off day, but its not like Joba is a normal 5th starter.

So you think Greinke is more ace than Meche?

Interesting. I would have said two good pitcher and one above average. But, it's all the same. Their bottom of the rotation is horrible. Thankfully, they have a solid bullpen.

great game today, petitte looked great. i'm realy liking what i am seeing from the team these past 2 games especially from cano, swisher, teix and posada. Just all around these last 2 games have been great. and the bullpen has been awesome.

We know the offense is going to score runs. This was their least productive game so far this season. And they are 2-2. When the starters throw strikes and keep the ball down, the Yankees are going to be tough.

ugh very upset with this loss today, really think we should of nailed the win. we really need to get a good win streak going, i remember how much it bothered me last year we were even then a game over, then even then under then over then back even. we need to really get a good streak going early on here

Tough loss considering we were 1 out away from Mo coming in and shutting the door. Ransom really needs to start contributing because he's not helping with the glove or the bat. Our Melky-Ransom-Molina-Gardner part of our lineup reminded me of an NL lineup today, hope we bounce back strong.

With Nady/Damon/Swish I don't ever see a reason for Melky and Gardner to be in the lineup on the same day. I know today was because of Tex's injury but it just made me shutter.

I honestly think the Yankees are stupid for leaving Joba in the rotation. He's injury prone and not going to log you more than 5-6 innings most starts. He'd be much more valuable in the 8th inning and as the closer of the future. The Yankees have been lacking that late game stopper for years now, there's no bridge to Rivera and it's cost them so many games. Look how successful Papelbon turned out after he went back to the bullpen and didn't become a starter. The Sox only won a World Series because of it.

The Yankees spent 200 million dollars this off season on starting pitching. Plus they have Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy in the farm. They shouldn't need Joba to be in the rotation.

tell me about it, everytime melky is up to bat i know its either gonnabe a first pitch swinging hit into double play or a strike out on a breaking ball low and inside in the dirt. typical of him and it pisses me off. yesterday there was too much first pitch swinging going on.

agreed again i understand cause of teix's sore wrist but still. its just a shame all we needed was one more out yesterday to get to Mo. so veras walked a guy, still would of left him in to pitch that one more out.

Agreed, Melky, Gardner, and Molina should never be in the lineup together. Didn't help that Ransom is also in the lineup. I'd like to see Pena get a chance.
