Yes it is! Funny how he screwed himself a little trying to hold out for more money. Now he has to jump through more hoops to get it, which I am totally in favor for. I think all contracts should have a small base and be incentive driven.

LOL, hilarious. Not as funny as that minor league team offering Bonds a few years back but this is pretty good.

Not a big deal, either way. I don't have a problem with the Yankees striving for adherence to team tradition rules nor would I have a problem with them abolishing the rule.

                Some news on the rotation:

Joe Girardi just said the rotation would be Sabathia, Wang, Burnett, Pettitte and Chamberlain. The plan is for Joba to make roughly 30 starts.

Awesome for Joba, let's hope he can stay healthy.

The plan is for Joba to make 30 starts?

Uh, isn't that the plan for every starter? I don't see how this at all reflects their concern with overworking him.

Game is on YES this afternoon. Here's who's playing today:

                      Damon LF
                      Jeter SS
                      Teixeira 1B
                      Rodriguez 3B
                      Cano 2B
                      Nady RF
                      Posada DH
                      Molina C
                      Cabrera CF

                      Pitching today:
Phil Hughes followed by Phil Coke, Brian Bruney, Damaso Marte, Jon Albaladejo, Mark Melancon.
I'm excited to see Melancon pitch. He tore up the minors last year.

He's going to make 30 starts with a 150-inning limit, not including potential postseason? Girardi needs to skip him as he would any other 5th starter when the schedule calls for it or this guy is toast.

Interesting, kinda like it though it'd probably be better on the side of the hat like past patches.
