Girardi is really getting on my nerves.

Why is Gardner leading off? Why even play Berroa at third? Guy made too many costly mistakes in the field and it was only his third career game at third. We know we aren't getting any offense from A-Rod's replacement so don't sacrifice the defense too. He's so sensitive with the bullpen and runs through damn near our entire pen most games.

I feel you on the first 2 points. Gardner should never be leading off. If Damon ever needs a day off, just move Cano or Swisher up to 2 since they can both get on base.

Bullpen's tough to judge him on so far since its been horrible. He's just trying to find out who the hot hand is that day, because it seems like everyone he puts in sucks. The starters aren't helping also as they are rarely going past 5 innings.

Hopefully he'll stick with Melancon though. He throws strikes and gets ground balls. Tge

          @ Ehh

well...we know no manager manages for fans...but it seems like many, if not most Yankees fans were tired of Ransom..

The only reason Berroa didnt make the team at the end of spring training, is because the Yankee brass knew that Pena was a better defensive player (but basically a singles hitter-no power). Berroa hit the hell out of the ball in ST. And I think he was raking at AAA before being called up.

If he's got Matsui at DH, and wants to give Ransom a blow...I don't think you want another light hitting position player (Pena) in the lineup (with Gardner being the other).

Tough series this weekend. It really hurts watching the Yanks loose like this but in all retrospect, I know the Yanks will turn it around. Every team goes through streaks during a season and right now the Sox are on fire and are on a roll and the Yanks are skidding. Maybe the Yankees needed this to light a fire under their a$$3s. As bad as it seems right now, the Yanks are doing ok but not great. They are 9-9 and only 4 games back. A nice win streak combined with a Boston loosing streak will put the Yankees right back on top.

            Go Yankees!!!!

after the 3 big blow out games earlier this season and now this weekend series they should have some sort of team meeting before tonights game in detroit. just to kinda figure out what the deal is and go out there and get some wins going

I hear you man. Need to snap out of this. Im kind of tired of win inconsistently. Feels a little bit like last year and its starting to get old. I do have confidence that the Yanks will turn it around and have a feeling that the tides will turn and the Red Sox will be looking up at the Yanks.

I never said it was a horrendous call but it certainly did go against us. I even did say, "Ehh, ******* oh well, can't blame the ump too much," but still is a bad call.

Bullpen has looked terrible in a few games but I attribute some of that to overwork. I think we have accumulated the 4th most relief innings. Bruney, Albaladejo, Coke, Robertson, (and eventually hopefully Melancon) have had games where they were lights out and we'll be able to sort out the ones we can trust and the ones we can't.

I'm not saying we look good right now because we don't. Our hitters can't hit with RISP, we have black holes in our lineup (Gardner, Melky, Pena/Berroa) and Tex seems to be pressing a lot. But I think a lot of our flaws will adjust themselves. Maybe I'm being too optimistic.

That's a good dose of perspective. The Yankees have played terribly and they're still 9-9 with A-Rod coming back soon to replace Angel Berroa. I'm not too worried yet.

How long until we make a deal for Mike Cameron? Also Jim Edmonds is a FA. There is no way he can be worse than Gardner or Melky.

                        Hughes was a beast tonight.

Not too worried about this team yet. A-Rod will be back, Tex and CC always start slow, Wang could not have just forgotten how to pitch. They'll be fine.
