        Chapman was super impressive!!!!
I have read about 5 articles so far talking about how good he looked.
I read that there were more media members watching his bullpen session a couple days ago then members watching the actually game.
He was clocked during the game at 102 by one media member.
The official gun at the game clocked him at 96, 98, and 100 on three straight pitches at one point.

Anyone got a good one for Aroldis Chapman?

Here's a good link for a scouting report also:

            http://www.baseball-intellect.com/ar...-need-to-know/

Also, do you guys know what pitches he has? I know he has a 4SF, 2SF, SL (is it a regular slider or a slurve?), and he's working on a changeup (regular change or circle?) ... also he might have a curve too but I haven't watched him this year.

Not good yesterday, Chapman left the game with spasams.
He could not throw his fastball without pain!!!!!
With that being said is anyone else ready for the season to start yet???
I am not liking all this talk of Dickerson being the everyday CF, not that I think it will last.
If he wins the CF job one of two things will happen within a month of the regular season starting.
              1. He will get hurnt and not be able to play. The guy has been a walking injury for the last two years, he can never stay healthy.
              2. He will not hit and Stubbs will tear up AAA once again and get called up to be the everyday CF.
As you can see I just dont have any confidence in Dickerson at all. Stubbs is the future lets play him now and be done with it. Also LF is Gomes EVERYDAY, the guy looks great (he lost 20 lbs this offseason) and he is killing the ball in ST. He also has made about 5 really good plays in LF.

Opening Day is 6 days away and Chapman seems to be fine, just a $30 million minor hicup. I'm hoping they bring him on from day 1 as a reliever.

Mo, I think it's the right move. I doubt he'll be down there long anyway. Let him start a couple of games in Carolina, and, if he does well, send him to Louisville. He can get the call to the big leagues in May. That'll give the Reds time to check out either Wood or Leake as the 5th starter.

Yeah it pretty much been a given all along that Chapman would start in the minors.
The thing is they only need a 5th starter like twice the whole first month. No need to keep Chapman up for 2 starts and there is no way to pitch him out of the pen.

Looks like Leake will be the #5 starter. Other highlights (per John Fay):

They optioned to Louisville RHP Jared Burton, LHP Aroldis Chapman, LHP Matt Maloney, LHP Travis Wood and IF/OF Drew Sutton; reassigned to Louisville RHP Justin Lehr, C Wilkin Castillo and IF/OF Chris Burke and released RHP Kip Wells.

Aaron Miles and Wladimir Balentien are still on the roster, but they’ve been told they won’t make the team.

Mike Leake, named the fifth starter, will be re-assigned to minor leagues, but brought back in time to start on April 11.

Miguel Cairo, Laynce Nix, Juan Francisco and Logan Ondrusek made the team.

Anyone Lucky enough to make it to Opening Day? I dragged my feet at the chance at a Standing Room Ticket Last week for $38 and now I can't find anything even close.

Guess I'll be watching at Fricker's this year.

I cant stand it that Nix is starting over Stubbs today.
Below is the line up the Reds will be using later today.
                                CF DICKERSON

                                3B ROLEN
                                RF BRUCE
                                LF NIX
                                C HERNANDEZ
                                P HARANG
Again I have no idea why Stubbs is not playing every damn day in CF, the dude tore it up in ST and last year when he was called up. He let the Reds in HRS this spring.

Nice to see Dickerson went 1-5 with a big error!!!
I dont know why but I just cant stand him playing CF over Stubbs (who went 2-2 by the way.)
Stubbs is a better base runner, base stealer and better defensive CFer. I dont know what Stubbs has to do to prove to Dusty is should be the EVERYDAY CFer.
Every chance that Dickerson has had to play the last two years one of two things have happened.
                                1. He plays decent for about a month and they gets hurnt, he has been on the DL 3 times already.
                                2. He just doesnt hit enough to stay in the line up.
I know he had a great spring but its not ST anymore.
