Hey, whatever it takes to get them starting like this is fine by me. If we had gotten off to a poor start there would have been a lot of panic, and possibly some bad player moves as a result (starting renteria...).

Last night was huge for me, I was really worried Mike Leake might drop off this season. Like last season may have been a fluke; but not only did he pitch well, his location was really good. The formula continues to work!

Leake reminds me of a of a poor mans Greg Maddux and Travis Wood reminds me of a poor mans Tom Glavine. Hoping the same results as those guys got except for more world series championships.

Exactly. Plus they both are very athletic and pretty good hitters. Hopefully volquez has a good game tonight.

I'm hoping Volquez get on track tonight. I think he will end up having a good season. I think his spring being delayed by his work visa hurt him. If Volquez gets back to pitching like he did before the injury Reds just might run away with the division this year if we can stay away from key players being injured for long stretches.

A nice 3rd inning. Sweet play by Phillips in the 4th.

Kinda off subject. Is anyone else waiting to get the Reds baseball helmet, catcher uniform, hoodie, etc on XBox Live for your avatar?

Great win tonight! Glad Volquez settled down aftrer the 1 inning. He better step up or when Bailey and Cueto get back he might be the one out of the rotation. Hoping for a sweep tomorrow. Rolen probably wont play tomorrow but everyone else should so. Hopefully Lecure pitches well and we can keep this thing rolling along.

Same here. Volquez looked bad, but at least he settled down. Wire to Wire is all I have to say. Its great seeing the cardinals losing too

Wow, reassuring that edinson settled down after that disaster in the first. With janish hitting the way he is so far we are sooo much better than last year with O-Cab.

Yeah, we were bound to lose sooner than latter. I was hoping to go on the road 6-0. Glad to see the Red Sox still winless as I hate them as much as I hate the Cards.
