Well, Soler is most likely coming up THIS year. Baez just might get a look in September also. Bryant will probably come up May/June of next year. I don't see any way Russell comes up next year. Part of it is he just started at AA about a month ago and the regime wants a full season at each level (and he won't get to Iowa until next season). Part of it is it's going to take some time to fit Bryant, Baez, and Castro together and see what their positions end up being--I doubt Russell comes up before a spot opens at SS for him. He's still very young also.

Re: The Friendly Confines: The Official Chicago Cubs Thread
It's funny you mention last night, because I actually saw some of what you were talking about in the field. I only watched from the 5th inning on, but he sat back on a ball that Puig hit, double clutched and the throw was late. I don't know if that's lack of focus/laziness, or just not being aware of how fast Puig is. Either way, not great.
I'm also not buying this, 'he's only 24-years old' stuff. He's been in the league for awhile now. No more excuses.
I just hope Theo and Jed are taking notice, which I assume they are.Comment

Guys, it's happening.
And on the subject of Javy hitting two bombs last night, I feel like at least three or four of our T10 prospects are going deep every single night.
Can't wait to see Baez at Wrigley. Might have to make a trip up for like the 6th time this season. It's worth it.Comment
