Loving what Seager is doing right now (everyone is I know), and I'm curious what happens when Franklin comes back and the outfield shifting begins. Does Figgins knock Seager off the map?
    Umm, no.

Figgins can keep doing what he's doing. Maybe then he'll gain some trade value later on. Hopefully he looks at it as a chance for a fresh start somewhere else, which is what he needs.

Awesome come from behind win tonight... Saunders was doing it all out there. I thought after the first inning, Millwood was going to get absolutely rocked. Glad he proved me wrong...

Great win last night. The team is just more fun to watch this year with all the young guys starting to develop. Still waiting for Olivo and Brendan Ryan to become permanent bench players though

Awful game tonight. I loved seeing Cammie retire as a Mariner though. The biggest mistake Bavasi ever made, and he made a lot, was not resigning Cameron. I put that above the Bedard trade.

Hultzen pitched for Jackson and had a monster game. 5.2 innings, 1 hit, 0 ER, 3 bb, 9 k's. In typical fashion for this franchise, he received no run support and picked up the loss. Walker tomorrow.

Yeah it was not a great game to see. Luckily I was drunk.

Following the Jackson team, however, is incredibly exciting

Went to the game tonight, boy what a game. Figgins played center tonight, and actually did not do too bad.
Noesi pitched a gem, I really saw some Felix inside of him. I want to say that the King has been helping Hector.
Montero mashed the ball tonight...That home run to center got out in about 4 seconds, a screaming 415ft line drive over the 405 sign in centerfield.
Great atmosphere at the game, many happy Washingtonians tonight. Sounders and the Mariners won!

Montero is going to be a monster. That home run was nearly effortless. Did you guys hear the sound of the ball coming off of his bat? Wow.

Noesi had a great bounce back start... Looked very solid. It's Oakland, but he still had a great line.

Offense needs to pick it up... Smoak, now is the time to start hitting. Love the kid but man, he's looked pretty bad at the dish to start the season. We need him, bad.

I could visibly see Smoak doing better at the plate. He learned from his swing-throughs and drew a key bases-loaded walk in last night's game. Once he gets his discipline down he will definitely start hitting the ball a lot better.

So when do we get worried about Felix's drop in velocity? He is hardly throwing any fastballs and when he does they're 91mph and pretty straight (for him). I don't remember him taking this long to build up his arm strength and flexibility. I hope he's not trying to pitch through an injury.

Jackson ended up skipping Walker's last start. Paxton goes tonight.

How's this for a line for Paxton?

                      <table class="pitching_data"><tbody><tr><td class="player_name">James Paxton </td> <td>4.2inn,</td> <td>2h,</td> <td>1r,</td> <td>1er,</td> <td>8bb,</td> <td>4k</td> <td>
                      </td><td>
                      </td></tr></tbody></table>
59 pitches, only 26 strikes. I would say his shining 17:1 k/bb ratio took a hit. Jackson still won easily.

I think there is definite cause for concern. I hear a lot of M's fans saying that it's nothing, but for a guy to lose five MPH off of his heater is a bit confusing to say the least.

I won't go crazy and say that he's regressing at 26 like some will, but perhaps all of these innings on his arm has taken more a toll than we would like to believe. I hope it's nothing. The thing is, Felix can still be a legit #1 with a 91 MPH fastball because his secondary offerings are plus pitches.

It's puzzling and concerning. I hope it's nothing too serious, and I hope if it is something, he lets someone know... But you would think the club would be running some tests on his elbow/shoulder to see if there's anything wrong.

                        I sure hope not.

                          Ouch.

Good news? He's been tough to hit and today's start wasn't any different.

The bad news is the eight walks. I thought I was reading his line wrong at first.

From a 17:1 K/BB to a 21:9 K/BB rate in one start. Let's hope he bounces back and finds the command that he possessed in his first two starts.

Interesting article in baseball prospectus today about the potential sale of the M's. It was all hypothetical, but the one major piece I pulled out was the upcoming TV contract. The M's metro area is only 12th in size, but their TV region is geographically the largest in baseball and covers over 14m people. They estimate the M's could pull in an additional $100-125m/year starting in 2015.

Walker makes his 2nd start at 5pm tonight. He missed his last start due to neck stiffness.

                              Walker dominated again.

                              6inn, 2h, 0r, 1bb, 7k. Jackson up 5-0.

I sure hope the team is sold. A change needs to be made. The TV contract will be huge, so we will see what happens.

I wish Selig would let Cuban own a baseball team.
