This team seems to play way better on the road. Someone tell Wedge they're not allowed to come back to play at Safeco.Comment

Re: Seattle Mariners 2012 team thread
Seriously, this team has been way more interesting and fun to watch this year. All this youth, the potential and promise, it's just so much fun. Yeah there's ups and downs, but at least there's hope.Comment

Re: Seattle Mariners 2012 team thread
Turned off the game with a bad taste in my mouth.
Olivo is out (strained groin)
League gave up the save and got the loss
Felix got 1 run of support on a Olivo wall scraper bomb
Kawasaki didn't slide home as efficiently as he could of
Felix got 1 run of support
Strike outs up and down the lineup
Felix got 1. run. of. support.Kemp for NL MVP

Re: Seattle Mariners 2012 team thread
By my count, that's the 39th time in the last four years that Felix has gone 7+ innings while surrendering 2 earned runs or less and taken either a loss or no decision. At some point, it has to get maddening that you're putting your arm through the ringer for nothing. Sure, great performances happen to all pitchers that result in a less than desirable result, but it happens to Felix ALL OF THE TIME. The kid should have at least 20 more wins on his big league resume, but instead, he's let down time and time again.
At some point, it will take a toll. This isn't a rare occurrence. This **** happens to him all of the time. Pitch lights out, get saddled with a loss or a no-decision. Par for the course with King Felix.Comment

If this continues throughout the year, Felix might consider testing the FA market come 2014.Kemp for NL MVP

The past two years, I blame Wedge. He is as inept at game management as I've ever seen. You have an AL team built like an NL team and yet Wedge never has them play small ball. No working pitch counts, no hit and runs, very few steals, no sacrificing, etc. They are in the bottom half of the AL in all speed metrics, yet have the highest K rates and almost last in pitches/plate appearance. The M's are an NL style team with a manager encouraging his team to hit a first-pitch 3-run bomb to score.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
