Re: Seattle Mariners 2012 team thread

Promising series, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Rangers and Angels come in and sweep the M's. I'm excited for the Yu vs. Felix match-up tomorrow, if Felix can pitch and not give up a run.

I guess I thought Catricala was continuing his good spring. My bad. Franklin is a guy I hope pans out - but how many 8-12 max hr guys can a lineup have in the AL?

I'm glad Guti is out so Saunders can play. I know Casper projects as a fourth OF to most people, but I'd love to see him get 400 ab's this year. He might surprise. Carp is slow is all. I hope comes around and starts hitting.

By the time Franklin is starting, the only other 10HR hitter in the starting lineup will be Ackley. This is Ichiro's last year in Seattle, unless he signs a one or two year deal for a significant discount.

With Franklin and Ackley, the potential is there to have two plus hitters at positions its a luxury to have plus hitters.

Now that was a Happy Felix Day! Loved seeing him eat Hamilton up all night.

This team is so streaky, but thats expected with youth. I'm so encouraged by the flashes of talent by the youngsters. The future is bright.

I do love a nice winning streak!! Good stuff from the Ms tonight.

Terrible that the attendance was just over 18,000...

Loved Monday's game. Last nights game, while a loss, was still encouraging considering how Noesi did (only one bad inning) vs that lineup.

How the hell is Millwood doing this? 1 run allowed over the last 3 starts and 2 of those starts in the best hitters parks in baseball.

Millwood isn't phased...he's pitched in some of the worst hitters parks his whole career.

Very impressed the way the youngsters are starting to hit and be more patient at the plate.

Casper Wells being sent down for Miguel Olivo to be activated. BAH!

Now Miguel Olivo will add 3 more strikeouts to the lineup. Great

Not sure why Figgins still has a spot on this team.

His days of being a legitimate Major League contributor are over.

I wish the M's would just release him and eat that salary. Wells is nothing special but at least he can flash some pop at time and has the capability of driving in some runs.

                                Oh well.
