M's fans, it's time to get excited... About everything.

What a confidence boost it will be to our bats... 21 runs on the Rangers and Smoak exploded.

It's about to get fun.

I'm so happy to see Smoak break out of his slump the last three weeks. The way he is getting his hips through now, I'm thinking his hamstring was a lot worse than they originally let on.

I'm also happy to see Paxton's knee has been the reason for his recent struggles. Now hopefully they can get him healthy. I thought he had the best chance to pitch for Seattle this year.

Controlled excitement here. Hate to be Mr. Pessimist, but they were playing in Texas. Don't get me wrong it takes a great offensive surge to score 21, but Smoak needs to have a fully solid week to prove he has found it in my book.
Interested to see what will be done of Brandon League now...

Controlled excitement here. Hate to be Mr. Pessimist, but they were playing in Texas. Don't get me wrong it takes a great offensive surge to score 21, but Smoak needs to have a fully solid week to prove he has found it in my book.
Interested to see what will be done of Brandon League now...

He's had more than that, though... He's raised his batting average by nearly 50 points since the series with the Yankees and is on pace for 28 bombs.

It's definitely coming together for him...

Yeah, its 3 weeks in a row. From Larry Stone's blog...

Starting on May 11, when he went 3-for-4 against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, Smoak is hitting .319 over his last 18 games (23-for-72). His on-base percentage is .355. He's slugging .597, with six homers (one every 12 at-bats). His OPS is .952.

Okay, I will give him that. I want to see Smoak do good, I was at his very first M's game (he struck out thrice). It's just the fact that he needs to stay on his roll and not overdo it. He's young but at his age for an A prospect these are expected numbers.

What a transition from frustrating to fun.

Smoak is so close to getting on track its not even funny. 0-3 tonight, but they were 2 hard line outs and a fly to the warning track. Those have got to start falling sooner or later.

Just thought I would bring this post back up to give you props. You called it.

Smoak is the team's hottest hitter and I really think something has clicked with him. He's probably feeling better physically and this is the type of hitter that he is capable of being - a true middle of the order bat.

It's awesome to see.

Welcome Mike Zunino, the newest member of the Seattle Mariners!

I like the pick... With Correa and Buxton coming off of the board, he was the next best thing. I trust Z's judgment on scouting young players. He makes our farm system stronger. He is very good defensively and great at handling a pitching staff. He has a possible plus tool with his power, something that we desperately need.

I like it... Now let's hope he can be a Buster Posey type talent.
