Re: Seattle Mariners 2012 team thread
League sucks, but that one is on Wedge. League is throwing only fastballs against lefties and he's getting destroyed because of it. Because Wedge follows the 1987 MLB Managerial Handbook, he brings him in for the 9th against a bunch of lefties and switch hitters only because its a save situation.
League's slash numbers against lefties are so bad, he's basically a ROOGY now. I'm ready for the Pryor callup too.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Yup, definitely ready for Pryor. But really, who is gonna take Brandon League right now?Comment

Wedge almost gets it right.
Mariners manager Eric Wedge just informed the media in his daily pre-game chat that he's pulling back struggling closer Brandon League from that role and will "mix and match" with others to finish victories <strike>until League can straighten himself out.</strike>Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Seattle Mariners 2012 team thread
Guys, this is getting pretty tough.
Not that being an M's fan has ever been easy... It's just a tough time right now, rebuilding or not. The future is exciting, but there's that whole possible issue of most of our prospects not figuring it out. I am wondering when guys like Ackley and Smoak will start raking. Smoak looks better, but Ackley... I don't know, I just expected more at this point. I still think he'll be a very good hitter for us but the patience wears thin sometimes with this organization. No reason to have Chone Figgins taking up a roster spot. I'd rather see a guy like Trayvon Robinson up. He might be a piece of our future and he might not, but it's worth finding out. We know Figgins isn't, so what gives?
Seems I make about one of these posts per week, but sometimes I just don't understand the logic in some of the decisions being made.Comment

I would like to thank MLB Network for jinxing the Mariners by saying they are surging, and could go on a roll to push themselves into contention...right before being swept by the last place Angels.Kemp for NL MVP

Part of developing is continually making adjustments to the league making adjustments to you, which is why young teams are often so streaky. Its all just part of growing pains.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Offended that MLB.com did not even have us on the frontpage for beating the AL Reigning Champs Texas football-style. (21-8)
Correction; did not check NFL website. Game might have been confused with football exhibition game.Kemp for NL MVP

Re: Seattle Mariners 2012 team thread
Has it been made official? I found an article that said it was likely, but an official announcement has not yet been made.
I agree, though... He's either already in Texas or en route as I type this.
Excited to see this kid up with the big club. He's going to be special.Comment
