On a light note, Justin Smoak has been optioned to AAA Tacoma. So this means TWO people will be called up tomorrow. Any thoughts?

I think Carp/Liddi and either Hultzen, Franklin, or Triunfel get the call.

Yeah, I still feel dirty. Half their damn team are former Mariners, so that makes it easier. Then again, my disgust for A-Rod almost outweighs that. I'm torn.

I can't wait to see Felix face Ichiro tonight.

For one, we dont need pitching, i understand Bauer is supposed to be a superstar, but so is Walker, and his ceiling is is higher than Felix's. The only way I'd be tempted to trade Felix is for Trumbo, Trout, and Richards but i'd still turn it down. And who's to say we dont sign Felix for a 250 million dollar contract? We get a new TV deal that is said to be in the billions like the Rangers did. I do believe we are gonna get sold, and hopefully to someone that cares, im tired of an owner that has only seen this team play once or twice, and Lincoln and the other bum just need to fall off a cliff.

I am very intrigued by what we do this deadline though, Trader Jack always has something up his sleeve

Oh and another thing, if Felix wanted to pitch for the Yankees or Red Sox or another big name team, he wouldn't ave them on the no trade list, ever think of that?

Unless Bauer changes his pitching philosophy, his short stint this year will be the norm. Granted, he might be able to get away with pitching up in the zone at Safeco, but the walks are a killer, and its not like he has upper 90's heat.

Trayvon Robinson accompanied Carp in the call-up move to establish a full 25 man roster.
                  Kemp for NL MVP
                  Montero for AL ROY

Someone could probably make a better one than this
                      Kemp for NL MVP
                      Montero for AL ROY

I busted up seeing the combination of that picture with the original headline above it, "Felix breaks A-Rod's hand, M's win 4-2"

Almost as good as the Times headline when the whole A-Rod/steroid thing broke that said, "A-Rod Busted for Drug Use." The Times has turned into our very own NY Post.

Walker's ceiling is higher than Felix? Did I read that right? When Felix was 19, he was already pitching in and winning games in Safeco Field... I love Walker but come on man, his ceiling is NOT higher than the King's. Are you being for real?

If the Angels offered Trout, Trumbo and Richards, I'd help pack Felix's bags. Sounds rough but I would... You wouldn't? Trout is going to be a superstar (he already is, really) and Trumbo is a middle-of-the-order stick. If Jack Z called the Angels and asked for that, he would get laughed at.

I can agree with the rest. I hope the M's do lock Felix up for life and I hope the team is sold. I don't care if Chuck and Howie fall off a cliff, but I do want them out of the M's front office.

The thing is, we'll flip all our pitching for offense, and then flip all our offense for pitching.

We will never win simply by putting the same finger in a different hole in the same dike... this is a three finger job.
