Could you imagine having Huddy and Beachy? We could trot out Huddy, Beachy, Medlen, and Minor. ****!

I don't want to split in LA. **** the notion of facing Kershaw again. As great as he was in Game 1, he was still hittable early on. I don't think we see a "shaky" Kershaw again.

Looks like we'll see Kershaw tonight and my guess is Greinke starts Game 5.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

And McCann likely ends his Braves career with an 0-for-series. I'm still going to miss him terribly next year.

Hopefully being benched/left off the roster completely lights a fire under B.J. and Uggla next year. Like it or not, we're stuck with them.

Hate it for Carpenter. He wasn't good in this series, but he's a middle reliever who Greg McMichaeled his way into a prominent role in the pen. Dude had been nails all season until the playoffs.

I don't even mind losing, it's how we lose. Why can't we just play the way we do all year instead of absolutely crapping the bed. Errors, bullpen failures, starting pitching that sucks, you name it, we do it. Has been this way since 1993 outside of 1995.

If we played well and just got beat, that's one thing...it's another when you feel like you just crapped the bed.

So 96 & 99 were both failures too?

Yes, but less so. At least they made the World Series. 1996 is an epic failure in my mind...up 6-0 with a chance to go up 3-1 with a big lead in Game 3 only to let Wohlers choke it away.

In 1999 people act like they shouldn't have been able to compete with the Yankees...they had a better record, better run differential, and had taken two of three in Yankee Stadium in the regular season. No way they should just get swept and not show up.

Again, it's fine if you lose...it's not fine to throw up on yourself or just not show up.

I feel bad for Carpenter because he's going to blame himself for a long time. It sucks to know that McCann is probably gone, but here is to Gattis and Bethancourt taking over the reigns.

I also really hope that LaStella is the second baseman next year. Hopefully he will get an opportunity to win the job in Spring Training.

After being left off the playoff roster, I have a hard time seeing Uggla back next year.

They alienated the clubhouse for the next two years by leaving him off. Uggla is not going to is heart into organization anymore. Why would he? He still will get his $12mIL. Lets see if this is a different organization.

2014: We need a true leadoff hitter like we needed last yr. Heyward is 4-6 hitter in a lineup, Justin is not a number 2 hitter, he is #5 hole hitter. Starting pitcher.....

I don't see a whole lot of changes. Two bad contracts hamstring us, and we've got to be mindful that we have a lot of young talent coming up for arbitration/free agency soon. So we can't afford to sink a lot of money in FA.

Uggla has two years and $25M+ left on his deal. We can't afford to just eat that, and good luck getting anybody to take even part of it in a trade. And B.J. has four years and $60M+ left. I think we're stuck with them.

McCann is as good as gone. Maybe Huddy too. I'd miss them, but maybe it's time to move forward.

Beachy should be back at 100 percent and a rotation with him, Minor, Medlen, Teheran and Wood with Hale on standby is nothing to sneeze at.

Kimbrel is Kimbrel. May need another lefty with Avilan until O'Flaherty/Venters are ready. Were Walden's struggles injury-related or do we need a right-handed setup man? Carpenter is a middle reliever. We need a long-inning guy, maybe Martinez can come back and fill that role. Or heck, maybe Garcia can.

We desperately need a leadoff hitter, but I don't know where you put him in the field. Heyward needs to take the next step. So does Justin. Freeman is Freeman. Simmons is Simmons. Chris Johnson will regress, but he's good enough at third. Gattis can hold it down behind the plate until Bethancourt is ready.

Really need a big bat off the bench like Hinske was a few years ago. Wouldn't mind Pena and Pastornicky returning as utility infielders and Schafer in the OF. You can argue that Schafer should start in center and bat LO, but are we really going to pay B.J. all that money to sit on the bench?

The reason Chipper Jones threw the first pitch to the mascot in game 1....

his predication that the Dodgers would win the series in 4.

Our players refused to catch for him because of that. I am really having a hard time wrapping my head around something so petty.
