re: 2014 Cincinnati Reds Thread
I was a huge O'Neil fan and really hated when we traded him, but the Yankees are my 2nd favorite team cause that was my Dads team so it all worked out I guess, but I would have preferred him to stay a Red. I dont know how my dad was a Yankee fan cause both side of my family are Reds fans,lol.
I think Paul would probably make a good manager, he was fiery as a player and a leader too, but Dusty was also a fiery player but it never really translated into him as a manager.
Im thinking we need a experienced manager, Bob Brenly is and has always been my choice for manager as I have wanted him every since they hired Dusty. I got a feeling Brenly dont want to manage anymore other wise Im sure he would have a job.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11
Favorite teams:
MLB- Reds/ and whoever is playing the Cubs
NBA- Pacers
NFL- Dolphins & ColtsComment

I don't think anyone besides the players is really to sad to see Dusty go. But to belabor the point even more, this article really sums it all up nicely;
As for the new guy it has absolutely GOT to be someone with managerial experience in the majors in my mind. I love Brian Price and think he would do a good job but I'd like to see the front office get a little more creative than that, plus I believe we have him signed anyway so no one should be thinking he won't be in the Reds dugout in 2014 one way or another.
Finally, useful numbers spreadsheet style:

lmao that article is horrible as Jake said who the hell wrote that and couldnt disagree more with those points. Half the players on this team are just average ball players and lol at a manager needing to motivate grown men in a playoff game or deciding games be a leader and step up "Arroyo". My expectations for this team have gone down a lot after the Baker firing and Im expecting 3-5 years before they contend for a WS if at all. Farm system is nothing special besides Stephenson they must trade some of these young arms yes you Bailey time for you to go#WeAreUKComment

Bob Nightengale of USA Today tweeted out that the Reds are looking to trade Brandon Phillips this off-season and that decision came down over a month ago.

That info came on the heels of that ridiculous column he wrote regarding the St. Louis Cardinals that made every non-Cards fan in America puke. God was that pathetic.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
