Still time so anything can happen but it’s looking like things are going to be pretty interesting to see what happens with roster moves when guys like Bird, Drury, and Ellsbury return. Assuming no significant injuries happen first, who goes?

In my opinion it should be Bird to AAA, Ellsbury released, and Walker released (or traded for a bag of baseballs). Have a feeling it’d be considered lucky if even one of those things happened.

      Interesting you bring this up.

I'm watching the last couple games and slowly realizing we might actually have our future 1B. It just isn't who we thought it would be.

      Austin is proving he belongs.

To me, he’s still just a platoon bat. He’s got 20 strikeouts in 36 at bats (55.6%) against right handed pitchers who aren’t Marco Estrada. He’s also got a BABIP of .406 right now, and that’s not sustainable.

          Good stats. Hadn't even looked.

Still like his approach and he's young so it can be one of those things he improves. Right now, he's playing well and he's healthy which is a bonus at first.

He's been so injury prone before though. Similar to Bird.

Finally this team is rolling and starting to look more like the team everyone thought they’d be before the season started except for the biggest hitting coming from Didi, not Stanton.

We just have so many guys that can have a 2 homer game and single handedly carry the offense any given day, then when it all clicks its just a massacre. And the team plays with so much joy. Gary comes back to home plate after rounding the bases and Stanton is so happy for him it looks like he's the one who homered. Just a lot of fun to watch.

Multiple people on this team will be starting for the AL all star team this year.

Michael Kay earned his contract last night.

"Wanting to pitch to Sanchez? Bad idea. A gut punch... Then a chin punch." after Giles punched himself in the face (what a loon)

Hopefully last night was the start of Stanton getting hot.

                          Always someone in that order.

In the 2-1 rally that fell short, Judge nearly punched the Yankees back into it.

In the 4-0 win it was Sanchez serving an uppercut.

And now last night it was Stanton jabbing a couple of shots to left.

Not sure where Chappie is getting this movement on his fastball from, but dear god he looks filthy. 3 down the middle to Altuve and he didn't stand a chance.

Justus Sheffield promoted to AAA. Unless he tears it up, I don't expect to see him up this season but never know. Also, Clint Frazier is back in AAA for the last couple games.

And Frazier hit a shot too. He's going to force his way up. Can't wait to see him play.

Thrilled to see the Yankees tearing it up. They're 11-1 in the "Gleyber Torres era." After a big series win at HOU, tonight we start another important series against CLE.
