Jays win a thriller in the 10th inning against the Angels, 3-2. Great pitching, great defense in this one compensated for the lack of offence. Koskie's sliding catch in foul ground was really something. Winning run was scored by Russ Adams on a wild pitch.

On a side note, can't wait to have Doc back. He'll probably be back next week! :

Too bad Lilly's out for a while. I heard if he goes on the DL they might call up McGowan. As long as they don't call up Gaudin. Or maybe Halladay might be ready. Hopefully.

I hope the Jays play some solid ball this weekend maybe that will get JP going on the deadline.

Wow! What a game! 18 innings and only 3 runs scored between the teams! Bush did a great job. I was very surprised when Vinnie pitched 3 hitless innings. The releivers did awesome.

But tomorrow Downs is pitching and I don't think he can go to far. Chulk, Batista, Walker and Frasor are not going to pitch. League may end up having to go 2 or 3. Lets just hope Downs goes far.

Yeah, that game was really a pitcher's duel. The defense did their part, and it was just nice to see the Jays pull off a win.

Looks like Huck will catch against the Rangers, hehe.

Last night was a good game. Towers pitched well. The Blue Jays always do well against the good teams and horrible against the bad teams. If only they could win agains the bad teams. If the Jays get in the playoffs they'll dominate. lol

Man that game was far too tense for me. At least we've taken 2 out of 3 and are going for the sweep tomorrow. The team has performed pretty well without Doc. If the Jays can keep playing well down the stretch then we could see the most interesting finish in over a decade.

I'm calling it right now. The Jays will finish 2nd in the AL East and challenge for the wildcard. I don't think the wildcard will come out of the East though, with the way Oakland is playing.

I don't think anyone can predict the AL wildcard or the AL east and be more than 50% sure about it. It's going to come down to the wire. It will be exciting and I think if the Jays keep playing like this against the good teams they have a good chance of making the wildcard.

Bad news, Halladay won't pitch on the weekend against the Yankees.

Russ Adams is rookie of the year. I predict by the end of the season, he will be hovering around .295/.375/.450

The guy has been on a tear the past few weeks.

I'd love for him to be ROTY.

I personally think Chacin will be ROTY or a top contender at the least. Sure he was shaky last night but even when he didn't have his stuff he kept the team in the game.

I wouldn't cry too much if Adams wins it tho. It's nice to see the kind of talent coming up the system like the good ol' days of the early to mid 80s.

They gotta get rid of Jamie Campbell. Just last night he said Rios fouled a ball off the plate. There are 2 things wrong with that:
                              1. It didn't hit the plate it hit his foot.
                              2. If it had hit the plate it would be a fair ball
Jamie is completly clueless about baseball.

He's a lot better then Rob Faulds and Rod Black. I bet he meant to say it hit his foot. Jamie knows a little baseball as a fan. He's shown that he cares about the game and has shown pride for the game. I remember many times on Sportsnet News when he'd show some baseball cards from his collection.

Give the guy some time it's his first year. I'm sure many of the great broadcasters of baseball made faux pas like this in their first year.
