Good win for the Jays tonight. I am a little worried about the health of Hudson however.

Hamstring injuries are a fickle thing hopefully he'll be fully healthy sooner rather then later.
As you said this was a good win for the Jays.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Apparantly, the Rangers have asked about Vernon Wells again. JP asked for Texeira, Rangers said Nix... Deal dead.Comment

I don't know if I'd be willing to give up Vernon though.
And as for today's game...

Re: Official Toronto Blue Jays "Birds Nest" Thread
Wow. How many 2-2 pitches did it seem like Miggy got the outer half of the plate. Hershbeck is brutal. He should never ump again.
Hinske, can't move Rios to 2nd. Had he done that, Rios scores if Adams hits anything in the outfield.
Terrible loss, drop 3 out of 4 to a team we owned all season. The worst part is if Boston drops 3 out of 4 to New York.Comment

I really hope JP gets something done at the deadline, anything at least to keep us Jays fans happy. Looks like AJ Burnett might be heading to Boston, so there goes that aquisition.Owner, Spear Interactive

Re: Official Toronto Blue Jays "Birds Nest" Thread
Looking at the box scores I'm glad I missed the D-Rays series.
If you want to contend, dropping 3 out of 4 to an awful team isn't going to cut it.
I'm going to be upset if the Red Sox get AJ.
I'm puzzled by JP. Last week he spoke highly about Gross and still indicated he was in the long term plans. If he's in the long-term plans, why wasn't he playing on a regular basis when he got called up. Let's be honest, the Jays aren't a playoff contender and I would rather find out if Gross is a MLB calibre player than trotting out Cat and Johnson out at LF.
Also I don't understand the logic of calling up League. He's scuffled in ST and the first part of the season. He's been hit around at AAA and he got called up once again. A young player like him shouldn't be rotting in the pen. He needs to be pitching on a regular basis.
You can tell I'm not a big fan of JP. He's proven he can cut payroll and draft college players that advance through the minors quickly. I can't help but think with the big payroll increase next season, if the Jays don't contend than JP should be fired.Comment
