It was basically Baron and ?????. Lost Daniels, which pretty much lost us all of our scoring. Old Baron did a great coaching job...probably the best he's even done.

I'm guessing Ron Everhart of Duquesne had to have finished pretty high up there. But, yeah, Baron had to have won by a lot. I'll have to see if I can track down the final votes.

EDIT: I can't find results. I did see that the coaches do the voting though?

Temple vs Duquesne in the final Saturday night. Can't say I saw that one coming but with a 3-way tie for 2nd place and like a 4-way tie for 5th, it doesn't surprise me all that much. I like Fran Dunphy at Temple but I'm totally rooting for Duquesne in this one. It's been 32 years since they made the Big Dance! Go Dukes!

          Can Temple make it back-to-back?

North Broad Street would be so proud.

They absolutely did. Congrats to Temple. Hopefully they'll have a better showing than last season. I want to see Christmas go nuts on a team that isn't a fellow A-10 school.

Dayton makes the tournament for the first time in 5 years, Sean Miller leaves Xavier for Arizona, and UD fans become delusional. I understand excitement about the future, but this is a little too much if you ask me. Courtesy of a poster on UD Pride (www.udpride.com):

SM (Sean Miller) kinda hit the proverbial wall and saw the hand writing on the wall as Dayton has considerably upgraded its talent and program. Maintaining the top of the heap was going to be a huge challenge. Not to mention the other A-10 schools upgrading as well. More parity was and is in the near future.
I nearly fell out of my chair when I read that. Sean Miller feared Dayton so he left for Arizona? Really?

Dayton's a good squad, but Xavier was by far the cream of the crop. Also, I'm pretty sure Xavier had a better recruiting class coming in this year than Dayton does. Hey, can't knock the guy for having UD pride....

Any word on UMass' recruiting class. I see they have locked up three 3-star players and a verbal from another 3-star (Rivals.com), but I know nothing of these kids.

Actually I don't think they do. X only has Kevin Parrom coming in. He looks like a stud though. Chris Mack is visiting him this weekend to see if he still wants to come to X or be released from his LOI because Miller left. If he is released, they won't have anyone.

I can't knock a guy for UD pride, I know. That poster just seemed to let it get to his head. UD fans hate Chris Mack because in a game against UD while he was playing for Evansville, he threw an in-bounds pass off the face of Wes Coffee. They haven't forgotten that, which I find hilarious. I don't remember that incident but have read up about it over the last week.

I haven't done much research on UMass. Looks like those Putney and Riley kids might be pretty good. They're comparable to other top incoming recruits in the conference.

It looks like UMass and Maryland are the final 2 choices for Terrell Vinson, I think he's 4 stars. If Stephenson ends up in Maryland, Vinson to UMass seems like a pretty safe bet. He's a tall wingman, top 100 player, he'll be a good land for whoever gets him.

Well, there goes that. Per Cincy Enquirer's beat writer:

LATEST UPDATE: Just got a text from Chris Mack around 12:30 p.m. regarding Kevin Parrom. This is what it said:

"I spent the entire day with Kevin and his family on Friday. Kevin, at this point, wants to take a step back and breathe. He wants to examine all his options and so we have granted Kevin a complete release."

Vinson is going to UMass, good pickup for them.

That is a huge signing by UMass. They definitely have themselves a pipeline in Baltimore and that's great because Baltimore has been providing so great players recently.
