Sorry, but I'm not going to get over it. Ever. There's always going to be games where useless microtransactions won't be present, and those are going to be the ones I will buy. Unfortunately in the basketball game market we currently have one great game filled with microtransactions and a really poor one which only uses it in the ultimate team card game.

Don't apologize to me. I don't like it either. That's why I don't buy VC. And when I hit the pay wall, I stop. Done. End of story. There is enough of a game to warrant my purchase, so I'm good. Really, there isn't a pay wall in this game. So, I don't see why this gets so much ink as it does.

Frankly, I blame whiners and cheaters. What I mean is the people that really don't want to earn their development. These people want everything handed to them ASAP and don't want to work for it. So, this system is setup so that you can now cheat legally. So, you either pay, or work. Which is it? Either work as you did in the past and stack VC, or don't. At the ends, it's no different than before.

Not sure if my definition of Player Roles is the same, but in My Career my guy is a 5,10" guard and you keep subbing me in at SF...

It's always been this way in MyCareer / MyPlayer. I remember being a 5'10" PG defending LeBron James at SF.

I think they do it to make sure you get on the court alot.

It's being tweaked in the 3rd patch. Apparently bench players shouldn't be getting TOO upset with their roles after the patch.

Had Otto Porter (84 ovr) as my 6th man. Minutes allocated: 36. At the start of the season he said he was ok with his role as long as the minutes kept coming. At the end of the season he had 0 morale. Playing starter minutes the whole way his morale just plummeted. Great.

Meanwhile I signed a 94 ovr Durant for 4 million a year.

Yup, it doesn't matter what kind of minutes you give a player. If his overall is over 74 (Even sometimes 73,Which is entirely too low for someone to be getting mad about coming off the bench) He'll get mad that he's not designated as a starter.

It's crazy the way this game works.

I have said it before and i will say it again....

2k should have included the association mode into next gen. I like the fact that they wanted to add a new mode but MYGM is not even a better mode then the current gen association mode so what sense those it make to have MYGM replace it.

I few things i don't like about MYGM :

1. You can't turn off CPU trading so the CPU is free to make stupid trades.
2. You can't change the season length... Which means if your like me and like to play a 29 game season where you want to play all the games yourself, you can't. You only have the option to play a 82 game season in MYGM.
3. You can't edit other teams rosters...For example,So if your playing as the Kings and you want to edit Kevin Durants leg sleeve or Lebrons sneakers you can't do that.
4. You can't edit the faces, hair and tattoos of generated draft picks.
5. And the worst for last.... You basically can't do much in MYGM without certain skills and in order to get these skills such as firing your coach,editing rotations and even editing ticket prices you have to get a good amount of VC to buy these skills.

So in the start the game is really hard especially if you decide to play with rebuilding teams because your not going to have a lot of VC to buy the skills you need to successfully run a team.

First, the guys you are talking to don't control whether or not VC is used. It seems to be a model that the WHOLE INDUSTRY is moving to and you're going to have to give up gaming if you don't like it. Period. Get over it.
Second, you can say how you feel about without trying to accuse the dudes of stabbing you in the back. "Oh you MEANT to take our options away!" Well, maybe they meant to give you a new mode and couldn't figure out a way to give you options that didn't break **** given the time they had to make the game. Did you ever consider that?

I had a much longer reply, but frankly, I think you're trying to be combative. You're making wild assumptions about thing you are completely ignorant to and going off on a VC tangent. All the while, attacking these guys' character. And that is the venom they don't need or deserve. His post was great compared to yours.

when its obvious that they made conscious decisions to eliminate all the previous modes that many enjoyed and go with vc everywhere. your insistence to continue to defend 2k on that shows your ignorance, not mine.

I think I speak for most of us when I say we don't really mind what they put in the game as far as player roles and cpu trades and all that. Just give us the OPTION to turn it OFF if we want to. It is unbelievable to me they took out all the options to turn off player roles and cpu trades...WHY? This is supposed to be a basketball simulation. With no options to turn off all the silly stuff, it turns into a fantasy game. I love playing an association and making all the real transactions during the nba season and adjusting rotations and rosters for every team according to their real life counterparts. This is now impossible.

Then to top it off, they won't even allow you to save your rosters to your hard drive. And the sliders keep readjusting by themselves. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed. I want to love this game so much. But they have really taken all the simulation aspects out of the game. It is turning into a joke. I was hopeful for a patch, but after seeing everything wrong with this game, theres no way they can fix even most of it. Thinking of just selling 2k14 and going back to 2k13 on ps3.
