But if its not possible to rectify his situation because he's injured, why would he become more unhappy assuming he's a reasonable person?

There's no way to rectify things even by promising that he will have an increased role when he comes back. That doesn't seem like a realistic situation not to mention a somewhat frustrating gameplay design.

I understand that, but his role is his role, independently of whether he's injured. If you promise him a better role for when he comes back (while he's injured), he shouldn't get more pissed off about it anymore.

There have been plenty of great ideas both here at OS and in-house on making player roles and morale way smarter moving forward, but for now that's the best I can give you.

IMO players frustration should be reseted during (specially) long term injuries, but it's not a big issue the way it is

Ok, well considering all of this variation about player roes and how there's a lot of concerns/issues with them. Why not leave in the OPTION to turn them off? Why remove that, I mean what could that possibly hurt? If anything, it's a good safety net to have. Don't understand what the point of removing that was.

I would say the roles system needs to be expanded. In the CG I turned them off but with NG I have to have them on and this is what I think should be done.

The actual roles are fine, but the morale meter seems to be what is wrong. Also a player should notice how his team playing with him in his role. If they are winning then yeah we're all good, but if we're losing he may want a bigger role or traded.

Also, I should be able to set all player's roles at the beginning of the season with no penalties! And as the season goes along then if I change them they could get mad or happy from the changes.

I also think if you shop a guy around, he should be affected by it. Especially in MYGM. He should come and talk to you. He would be like "Hey GM, I have read in the newspapers I'm being shopped, is this true?" Then you pick from like 4 answers.

It's a really tough subject to get right and I know you guys at 2k are trying your best but it does seem like it could be improved in this gen.

Please give us the possibility to choose season lenght in MyGM (14 or 29 games instead of 82).

I know this is off-topic but could you dev team please implement this!!
This has always been a deal-breaker for me playing MyPlayer because seriously 82 games is too gruelling and gets boring real quick. I'm the type of player that likes to play all my games at 12 minute quarters, so 82 games is impossible for me to complete in the span of a year when you factor in other commitments, etc. Furthermore, the mode is called 'My Career' but I've yet to see anyone here on OS complete their "career". Majority only play the first season and some a few more seasons after that and never again. Therefore, giving us the option to reduce the games played per season will definitely make this mode more lasting.

Yeah, the way I played on PC when I was into MyCareer is that I hex edited the seasons to be 14 or 29 games. Had a blast compared to slugging through 82 games. This was back then when key games didn't exist either. Though I've seen myself get 42 key games per season so that's not really helping things either.

Unfortunately I think it's hard-coded in 2K's AI, the same AI they've been building off of for years. So we'll just have to wait for a new game and hope that 2K improves their AI.
