I did some reading and I found that the best ways to get past a defender are what we may consider simpler moves.

I have a couple but I want to have more variety in my game. These are my go-to moves right now that give me the highest success rate:
    1. Tap left stick ball hand (Hesitation), tap left stick non-ball hand (Crossover), hit turbo

    2. Tap right stick down (Behind the back crossover), tap right stick up (Inside-out), tap right stick to non-ball hand (Crossover), Hit turbo

Do you guys have any good move combos to drive past defenders you can share?
good insight bro, i plan on trying this later on today with isiah thomas because for some reason i have trouble getting pass all defenders with him whether it be a quick iso or in PnR situations

For big man I tend to go 3/4 bottom for all (no logic at all, just saw a yt tutorial that recommends it, so...)

Also I do the switch rule for all of the guards.

Most of this sets are just copying some stuff from youtube tutorials, but I never know why I'm doing them.
Curry is at the point where you may want to double team him on PnR's(Pick and roll)

Bottom side means the post defenders back will be facing the sideline/baseline where as "top" will have him on the inside shoulder with his back facing the middle of the floor. NBA teams are always playing behind or on the topside of the post.

I don't keep a set figure as far as stamina goes. I think it is more important to develop a rotation. Generally the first couple weeks of the season is me trying to get that figured out.

You need to identify certain players on your team like who is the 6th man, primary bench scorer, versatile guy that can play multiple positions, etc.

For example my team is this (minutes in parenthesis):
        PG Chris Paul (34)
        SG JJ Reddick (28)
SF Brandon McGee (user rookie; primary scorer) (35)
        PF Thomas Robinson (28)
        C DeAndre Jordan (30)
        6 Larry Sanders (17)
        7 Derrick Williams (22)
        8 Sebastian Telfair (14)
        9 Dawson (6ish)
10 CJ Wilcox (anywhere from 8 to 16)
11 rookie with last name of Nayman (6 to 12)

Paul and McGee tend to play big minutes. My front court gets subbed out frequently. Derrick Williams is first off bench unless someone is in foul trouble. I may play him at the 4 or put him at 3 and move McGee over to 2. Because of amount of minutes I try to take out either Robinson or Jordan early so that they can return when the other leaves. Dawson gets his playing time in the 3rd quarter usually so that my primaries are able to go in the 4th. Same for Nayman. Telfair is playing great so Paul will see less minutes the closer we get to playoffs.

My rule of thumb is if anyone is sub 90 at the start of the second half they are being pushed too hard (unless it is the 2nd game of a back to back).

TBH OG I cant think of a reason why a team would ever play bottom side. Maybe if they wanted to funnel him into help or prevent him from coming off a pin down.

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but how does the "fake pass" mechanic while your player is moving? Every time I've seen it tried, it ends up in a weird animation that looks like a botched Euro Step. But the fact that it has a failure animation makes me think it would have a success animation. I've never seen it, though. Do you have to pass/shoot immediately after the fake pass?

Forgive me if this question has been answered. 89 pages of text is hard on the eyes to filter through. I need some understanding on how the playbooks work:

                1. Where do you go to edit a playbook and what is the full process?
                2. When you edit it, is it available in Online play, play with friends, etc.

Please help. I can't seem to find any tutorials or information on how edit a playbook as everywhere I've looked, it incorporates that its already known.

Not sure if this has been posted, but this is great thank you to the greater JerseyMade93 - but I'd love to discuss "shot gather" mechanics in greater details. specifically - how the "Stick science" is done?

                  can any player do it?

Also - can you gain badges in MyGM mode? I mean for example, can Wiggins or Butler gain badges? if so how?

Are the defensive settings bugged? I want to go over screens but my defenders always go
                      under.

Can anyone, at all, tell me how to limit my team's steal attempts in the post? It's leaving me absolutely exposed in the post, and I have 0 idea how to stop them from doing it. The CPU passing it into the post and my PF/C tries to catch it, unsuccessfully, and boom - easy bucket.

I want to stop this or limit it as much as possible. It's really aggravating.

hmm .. to do it just move left stick to where u wan to hop to and press the shoot button together while u are dribbling. the adv moves he did in the video requires u to be able to pull off iso dribble moves before u trigger hop shot gather. thats how i see it.

check out some shooting drills by Czar. he posted that mths ago, and i think the hop shot gather works similar to step back jumper.

Put them to play the post from behind (defensive settings).

Nope. My own team. I prefer to guard the perimeter manually, but if the ball handler makes a pass into the post my AI defender will almost always go for the steal and find himself out of position when trying to react and guard the basket. Not sure how to put a stop to it.
