Put them to play the post from behind (defensive settings).

Well, had I known this would be an issue when I switched from "Behind" to "3/4 bottom" I would have never done it. Can't believe I didn't put 2-n-2 together.

Bought this game yesterday, my first basketball game dont know much about the sport at all so going in blind.

Is there a tutorial in the game which explains the basic mechanics(shooting, defending ect) or a decent article/video?

Played one game on default difficulty and got smashed didn't know what I was doing haha.

Normally just play football(soccer) games but heard so much good about this thought I'd give it a crack.

2 questions

1. How can I get more explosion out of my ball handler when running the pick and roll? After I run my defender into the screen and get some separation the ball handler doesn't burst towards the rim and kind of just hesitates.


2. Has anybody else had issues with pace of the game? For example in a typical game my team would put up between 75-85 shots and the CPU would constantly put up high 80's to mid 90's. This more often than not contributes to close games that would otherwise be blowouts if we had equal shot attempts. Any ideas on what I could do to balance things out?

1. hold left trigger in protect ball post and turbo, release the left trigger while still holding the turbo and point left stick to where u want to go when the screen is set

I use icon passing and Full Display for play art...

Occasionally, I'm seeing a x icon floating above a player's head, who's not the PG...

It's even happened when posting up a PF or C on the low block...

What does that x mean?

Occasionally, I'm seeing a x icon floating above a player's head, who's not the PG...

Assuming you're on PlayStation, it means to pass that player the ball.

Does it only occur after you called plays? Then it means you should pass the ball to the player with the x icon to initiate the play.

Assuming you're on PlayStation, it means to pass that player the ball.

Yes, I am on PS4...

However:

I'm pretty sure it's appeared above players that already HAVE the ball...

Is that just a byproduct of the indicator "hanging around" for an extra second or two?

Just saw this, so apologies for the double post...

I'm aware of it being an indicator of who should initiate the play, but I'm also seeing it after a couple passed, where (for instance) a player is in the low block starting a post sequence and the x pops up...

Or so it seems...

That's the only thing I can think of. Maybe you could upload a video so that we can see exactly what you're seeing.

I don't know how to upload videos, but from what I've heard and am seeing, I think it's just "hanging around" for a second after you've passed it to the guy that "completes the play"...

If your running a play than thats who your supposed to pass to..ive seen that as well as the gray ball above the players heads when running plays

Is there any way to turn off free agent signing by the CPU in MyLeague? Not for the user controlled team but for all other teams. I purposely start MyLeague after the real life trade deadline in order to have updated rosters but the CPU signing free agents puts a damper on that.

the only way to do it i think is to user control all 30 teams and disable signing FA by cpu (set once)

Does anybody know why in my game by default the Knicks are running the 4 out 1 in freelance instead of the Tri or why the Spurs are running the 3 out 2 in instead of the swing ?
