Darn it...every time I see the "Guest Commentator" message on the screen, I think it's one of those youtube ads and I instinctively try to close it.

Personally think the scorebug and stat overlay graphics are a bit big/cheesy - my personal opinion of course.

To your concern with the crossover in trailer, the way it was done isn't the only way to do a crossover. You can be stationary and chain a crossover from other dribbles. There's several different ways.

Have to agree. You also see Reggie had a running head start beyond half court before he went into his cross while Irving was operating from a dead stop in the half court. As far as the cheating defense concerns the score is 4-2 in the 1st and I think it may be too early to start cheating towards/doubling The Process. The guys on the perimeter are JJ Redick and Saric and I don't think you want to cheat off of them. Irving is checking Fultz(I think) and I don't think you want to leave him wide open. I think strawberry is right that Gordon should have atleast blocked out Simmons. I think you have to also take into account the ratings of these players. NBA Players don't always do the right thing in every situation otherwise NBA teams would average about 70 points a game due to perfect defense and proper defensive rebounding on every possession..

Crossover
But can anyone show me a sequence even, a few times, where the confined restricted crossover works in 2k17? I just grabbed the Reggie Jackson one because it had the best camera angle to determine lateral position. There's probably a whole bunch on youtube where real NBA players are able to blow by their defenders straight up without moving laterally 2-3 feet. Again, not my biggest concern, but just something I've always noticed seeing 2k youtube videos.

Cheating, Anticipatory Help Defense
I'm guessing the Nets and Knicks are bad defensive teams. Just a quick youtube search. My concern with the 2k18 footage, albeit limited, is that's pretty much how it was in 2k17 even if the shooters are terrible 3 point shooters. Plus the fact that there is no head tracking by the defenders at the top of Joel Embiid. It looks like Joel Embiid is fully committed to backing down his man, and basically no one cheated remotely, not even that lower corner defender. And the same concern goes with the Irving isolation scenario. These are basically either exact replicas of 2k17 or very similar.

Below game highlight footage between Knicks and Nets. Poor defensive teams??? I only watch the first few minutes, but even early on, there's always cheating and anticipatory help defense. I actually PM'd Scott, Da Czar and Beluba about this several weeks back and included it today with this new gameplay footage. I even have it in my signature labeled gameplay. I might change my signature in the future, but as of today 8/28/17 it's there in my signature.
