It was mentioned by a dev in a blog (I don't recall the exact one) that there are MANY new hairstyles in this year & OBVIOUSLY there are only 5 or so in the the Prelude so there's a sign that our tools are limited until release... so let's all take a breather and relax as everything is going just as stated. Now if it's as stripped down in the actual release..........
EDIT: is any of this confirmed from someone WITH the game or on actual game footage (not prelude / early build video)?Comment

Re: New CAP system
Couldn't be as bad as the last few years. In 2K17, 10 years in MyLeague, the league was populated by mutants and neanderthals that all looked alike. Sure, you sometimes had a face you've never seen, but after 4 years I had twins on my team. At least this year we can edit the players (hairstyles, facial hair), I guess it won't be that bad.
They were mostly pretty distinguishable from each other too. If you gave me photos of all the players I ever drafted since I've started playing 2K, I could probably name 90% of them lol.Comment

Re: New CAP system
Honestly, I feel like people exaggerate this just a bit. Before the start of every season, I would go in and quickly edit the things that looked really silly to me like super long noses and the hairstyle options/colors generated. Took me only 10 minutes to get through most of a draft class.

This thread is specifically for people who rely on CAPs to keep the game fresh. Classic players, rookies, draft classes, etc. Not people who are okay with random generic players. Even that's gonna wear thin, they have about 30 presets with barely any variation. Nose size, lip size, but on the same based CAP, we're going to start seeing a lot of lookalikes a few years into modes.
If the issue discussed in this thread is not an issue to you, stay out of it. You guys have this weird desire to want to be heard even if it isn't relevant to what's going on. I'm not directing it solely at you, you're just the most recent comment to do this. Different people have different problems. You guys crashing this thread talking about how this isn't an issue is ridiculous. It's obviously an issue to us. Roster makers, Draft class makers, etc. There are entire sub communities, YouTube channels, built on customization. This matters to some people! If it doesn't affect you, move on.
This is like going to a homeless shelter and telling them to stop complaining because you just bought yourself a new house.Comment
