Steph Curry really is even more cheese in this game than he is in real life. This is my second game against the Warriors, but the first time we played the Warriors early in the season I wasn't a starter and only played about 20 minutes, a lot of which wasn't matched up against Curry.

Second time around against them, though, in game 75...yuck. I need to get the screen dodger badge and get stronger solely for games against Curry. I do like the realism of the game, though. Unlike other PGs, if I get hung up on a screen and Curry catches the ball 5ish feet behind the 3P line, it's going up.

It's only one quarter, but he just put up 25 points on me on 7/11 shooting from three in the 1st quarter.

If I make the Finals and have to play the Warriors, it's going to be a loooong, frustrating series. Curry just embarrassed me. Dropped 66 and shot 16/30 from three. Yes, sometimes I play very lazy, disinterested, gambly defense; very similar to Russell Westbrook, but still, there was nothing more I could've done to try and defend some of the 3s Curry was hitting, and it doesn't help that anytime I get screened it's a guarantee I get hung up which is lights out against Curry.

which team and what archetype combination would you recommend for a point guard and shooting guard?

- I prefer east teams, but a west team would be fine too
- main focus on PG: assists, pick and roll, midrange jumpers, defense
- main focus on SG: 3's, fastbreaks, maybe some defense

atm I play a def/reb PF and i'm quite comfortable with playing good defense, i wonder how the defensive stats are without any defense archetype?

For the pg playmaker primary. Really solid midrange or solid d is the question. Good naturally at shooting midrange or playing d. Defending playmaker or shot creating playmaker depending where there is a needed boost at 70 something range.

You can probably get away with the primary sharpshooter secondary defense for the SG, but if more speed is needed along better fastbreaking maybe slasher secondary.

Edit: Both of sg builds have pretty much the same speed. Difference between one man fastbreak silver and bronze. I would roll with the two way sharp

So, my guy just rubbed his future shoe deal in Shammy's face AND told him that he's nothing but a role player. It really hurt Shammy's feelings and I'm pretty sure I didn't get a dialog option in that cut scene(I did look away for a bit tho).

Pretty pissed off that my guy acted like a total douche and I wasn't able to choose whether I wanted him to act like a douche....

Anybody else feel like 2K are forcing you to be a Westbrook/Harden/LeBron superhero just to win on this game? I’m playing a secondary role on the Rockets, putting up 21/12/6 with Harden putting up 29/6/6 and we’re 17-18 after 35 games because no matter what, the CPU just wont let us win. In my last game, I put up 40 on 14-22 (all career highs) yet we lost because down the stretch guys were just leaving their men wide open in the corner every time. It’s frustrating as hell playing damn good defense only to get no reward when the CPU doesn’t reciprocate. For what it’s worth, I don’t mind being scored on because I can blame myself but when Fultz is left open by 10 feet in the corner when I’m guarding Simmons, that’s not my fault.

I’m not expecting Houston to be good defensively by any means but we started the season 7-1 playing great defense and scoring for fun, then we’ve just slid because the CPU hit its own switch.

I’m level 87 now and really need to hit whichever level allows you to affect rotations because my bench sucks. A unit of Rondo, Gordon, myself, Ariza and Nene should be decent but Gordon is trash, doesn’t pass and misses most of his shots. It’s when I get most of my points because I don’t see the ball enough with the starting unit but I need Gordon out of the rotation or have myself at point so our spacing isn’t as screwed with Rondo. Also, thinking ahead I’m hoping either a) D’Antoni is fired for a more defensive minded coach or b) I go to a better defensive team and hope that the absent minded AI defense is just a specific problem and not a general 2K problem.

While fixin the rotations can help you on offense, the lapses on defense won’t change. It is just the way the AI is programmed on defense, I have played with several teams and they all play the same way.

Doesn't seem to make any trades. I've submitted 8 trade requests so far and received none of them; a couple were a bit outlandish (KAT/Kristaps), but I mostly requesting 75ish OVR's with good 3pt shooting as I have 7 bigs on the roster and no decent guards outside of the starting lineup.

With my PF I got the custom colorway and the signature shoe.
Started a PG, after the all-star break I still don´t have the colorway.
How long does it normally take to get it? I don´t remember when my PF got it, but it feels as if it was about time.

2k is the only game where you can be down by 3 with 1:57 left in the second, get sent to the bench, simulate and be down by 20+ going into the half. Smgdh

Been too busy to play the last week+.. Forgot just how much better they made the opponent teams a few weeks ago .. about to lose 4th straight and go 25-17 on the season.. losing to Brooklyn, Boston, New Orleans, and now Cleveland is running us out of Target Center.. and NOTHING I can do about it myself

Still haven't gotten to 90 OVR so Butler hasn't been a starter on the Wolves since he got hurt in game 3.. .. averaging only 9 PPG (has just 1 double digit game the last 15 and that was just 12 pts) and no other stats because the GAME broke the rotation having Butler and KAT out together for 6-8 weeks

I actually took the lead vs. Cleveland by a point at half.. now 3rd quarter.. NOBODY .. except Kevin Love is shooting for Cleveland.. he's 5 for 5 on 3's .. Wiggins I guess just can't guard him

Game turned into a joke in the 4th.. I had a 5 point lead even.. and lost by 7.. no matter how wide open I couldn't get Wiggins, Teague, etc to shoot a 3.. while Cleveland hit 6 3's in the 4th and hit 17 of 36 for the game.. .. only reason it was even close was my 14 assists.. mostly to KAT since nobody would shoot.. I did have a 3rd quarter lead magically disappear while I saw the last 2 minutes of it .. but that's pretty much normal anymore 7 pt lead was a 2 pt deficit to start the 4th
