SO I have the best game of my Rookie season.. 35/17/14 .. and we lose by double digits to OKC .. KAT fouled out in 16 minutes of play.. 2K dissolved an 11 point lead for me while I was out of the game.. I got back ahead just before the 4th .. so OKC hits 8 3's in the 4th.. my center (Dieng since KAT fouled out) starts randomly running out to double-team guys and leaves Steven Adams standing in the paint for easy dunks

5 losses in a row and 6 out of the last 7 games.. next up the 13-28 Knicks..if I lose that when I play that one I don't know if I'll continue THIS career.. or maybe SIM through a bunch of it since my guy's an 88 OVR and I don't want to start with no VC

This really wasn’t a game we a) should’ve struggled so badly in and b) should’ve won. Our first three possessions were all Harden turnovers and at one point in the second we were down 13. I had 8 points at the half and did my usual job of trying to distribute from the front court while playing solid D and letting the game flow but Harden (who is obviously our go to guy and is putting up 29 points per game) still couldn’t hit anything. So once he was subbed out and it was myself and the second unit, I went to work. I scored 19 in the third and had the Magic lead down to as low as 1, but when the starters came back in the offense stagnated again and they got back up by 7. Harden finally hit a mid range jumper on the fast break after I rebounded and threw the outlet pass. On the next possession, Capela blocked Gordon, Harden fought with Isaac for the ball and threw it to me as I’d leaked out and was cherry picking. Then after we hit a couple free throws, made a stop and finally got Harden to hit a 3 to take a 2 point lead. The Magic levelled the game on the next possession and then both teams went scoreless on a couple possessions until Anderson made a 2 with 28 seconds left. Gordon hit a tough turnaround on Anderson with 7 seconds left to tie the game at 97 each. On the inbound, I mashed A to receive it as I was the only guy confident enough in beating my matchup to get a layup. I faced up on Ross, hesitated and then drove left, met at the rim by Biyombo who I bounced off and forced in a tough leaning layup with 3 seconds left. Ross received the inbound, got past me way too easily but I recovered in time to affect his shot as we came away with a tough win to make us 27-20 on the season.

For me, it was a tie on my career high for points, career highs in FG and FGA (I usually take around 14-15 shots with Harden and Paul taking the majority) and probably one of the toughest games I’ve had on this year’s game. Orlando just bullied us and they couldn’t miss from 3 (17/39 vs 8/25).

Idk if it’s just me but I played 3 games earlier today and I was dunking like crazy. I’m in the middle of a game at the moment and I always play each game the same. I haven’t been able to dunk the ball. All I attempt is layups every time I’m driving to the hoop. If they touched the sliders again I’m going to be so pissed man. This is really unacceptable what my career is doing this year.

so i just got my 6th foul, was put on the bench, then subbed back in...uh?

Happens to me to I don’t ask no questions lol.. if you foul again tho for a 7th I think he gets taken out. During the summer league circuit in my league you can’t foul out of games lol so it’s weird as hell. Even if the foul out is turned on smh. Idk if it’s a glitch but yeah I had like 10 fouls one game

Is anybody else not getting subbed out until the 4th quarter? They'll take me out if my fouls are too high. But I'll never come out before the 4th. I ask because of fatigue.

Why can't I call plays with my pure playmaker SG, SF, or PF???? Makes no sense! It happens in real life! 2K desperately needs to fix this!

The game has always been like this, so it's nothing new they've just added in. If it's any consolation, you get on court coach at 91ovr and then you get access to the plays.

When you reach 90, can you reposition your lineup? I wanna try a lineup with Harden at point and myself at the 4 but I dunno if I can do that.

I was thinking today about the MyCareer storyline of going undrafted only to dominate the league in your rookie year (for most people I assume), and how unrealistic it seems for people who are actually playing MyCareer in an immersive way. 2K are probably going to go back to the college to draft system for 2K19 I would guess, which I'll be happy with, but also a little sad to lose the control we have this year in choosing our team. It got me thinking about a hybrid concept.

I thought it would be good if after playing through college and earning your spot in the draft, you were allowed to choose specifically where you were taken. For instance if you do really well and you're projected to go third, the game would let you choose any spot from #3 downwards. You'd still have to dominate in college to earn the right to go #1, but it would give us a little bit of control so that we don't end up being taken by a team with a star player in the same position, or even just a team you really don't want to play for.

It feels like a decent compromise that could make almost everyone happy. What would make it even better would be having the choice mechanic an optional setting before you start your career, so that anyone who doesn't want to choose can just be drafted the classic way.
