I might do the same. With the era we are in, PF is a versatile build to create. A couple years ago, I created a 6'10 250 PF. But in this era it isn't necessary.
I might go 6'8-6'9 235. But if I go that low in height, I will want to go max wingspan. But I don't want to lose out on shooting.

How big of a role do y'all think height and weight will play this year? I'm torn since I really wanna make an agile pure rim protector at around 7 feet but I'm worried he's gonna get destroyed in the paint and the added speed isn't worth it at all.

Just worried I have to re-make my player after a few months once we know exactly what height/weight/badges etc. really do.. Don't wanna stick my weak build like last year.

I'm going for like an Anthony davis/Draymond green type player probably the two closest although neither is spot on. 6'9" heavy PF Finisher 1st sharpshooter 2nd. Make em respect the 3 ball and blow by em fif some power dunks. If they wanna play off me just light em up from DT

Aaron Gordon is a very close comparison to that build. Maybe Tobias Harris if you flipped it .

I think most people make the mistake of making their rim protectors too tall and fat when the whole point of that build is too be agile and quick .

I'm leaning more and more towards a 6'11 post scorer/playmaker center. I just love how Pau and Jokic play. Hopefully it still leaves me with plenty of quickness to lead the fast break like those two did.

Dope! It comes in at 21 bars for speed and high teens for passing and ball control along with silver one man fast break so as long as youve got a better dietician than Jokic i think youll have more than enough speed and skill to make plays in transition. Should be able to run some nifty dribble handoffs too (love how the animations they added in for these! Great way to use guys with good passing & decision making but whos handle might be a little too loose to run a PnR with proper spacing.)

Its really cool because based on how you play around with that height weight and wingspan, you can get anyone from bill walton to pau to jokic as a near comp.

Was thinking similar until saw pure post scorer having silver dimer. Having playmaker pushes dimer to gold, but loses out on rim protector completely which is really big loss for center while pure post still got it silver.
Another thing speaking of centers is height advantage ain't going anywhere since its the same game patched basically. Yea on paper it look like you gain a lot going smaller, but eventually max height centers will rule the paint.

Will see when full game drops about going two-way post scorer or post + playmaker. Also, I do not play online so that is not a concern for me, tbh.

I dunno if youve played around with the attribute caps as they relate to height weight and wingspan but im gonna have to disagree. Its not that height still isnt super valuable, in fact i think it may be even more valuable this year. What they did do is put much more realistic penalties for increasing size and wing span this year and huuge boosts for bringing them down.

I was a 6'9" 215 lb SF who had to defend 7'3 PFs for most of last year so believe me, im well versed in the importance of height this game (but I had him boxed out and literally put my hand through the ball how is that not my rebound??). Even last year if you understood how to keep them off their spots, force them back into help and throw in a well timed strip you could make things pretty hard for them (til they grabbed an O board and contact dunked your *** lol)

They seem to have gone into the size attributes with theoretical physics in mind, in the sense that every action in the player creation screen now has an equal and opposite reaction.

Or put another way - Wanna be huge? Great. But for every inch you gain and therefore value you gain, were gonna take equal value away from all of your skill and athleticism.

Combine that with no more bailout animations (gotta be in the 7'1"and under range to get bigman contacts), a muchhh quicker trigger on 3 in the key, and i really feel like oafs are finally gonna be oafs this year.

(This isnt even factoring in defense. Its going to be fun to watch a 7'3" post scorer trying to get out in PnR coverage against a sharp playmaker and 6'11" shot creating finisher)

                          Bring them to me.

I remember those couple games. You can instantly tell an older OS player, they "move" differently than the mass produced cheesy builds.
