Shot creator primary, sharp secondary maybe? I made one last year, 6'7", and he was pretty good all-around offensively.Comment

Re: Assuming archetypes are similar in 2k19, what you making?
I always have a problem deciding. In the prelude I made a pure shooting PG. I don't think I am sticking with it as I would like a faster player at that position.
I always tend to want to be a PG since I like having the option to call plays and run the offense. If the SG could call plays I would probably go with a SG. I always like to try to fit into the Lakers roster as well since that is my favorite team. So I may make a Center. Picking a PG puts Lonzo/Rondo to the bench.
Next build I will try is an a pure driving PG.
Kinda wish NBA 2k would just let you edit the rosters before starting your career. I would just switch Lonzo to SG and probably Lebron to PF. As it stands currently NBA 2k is probably going to bring Ingram off the bench when he will for sure start with Lebron in real life.Comment

I dunno bro! The 7’3 guy didn’t feel as good as last year. But it might just be me wanting an excuse to get away from the max size because it’s kinda a corny build. I think I’m going to go smaller and live with the consequences.Comment

Uh....watching Chris Smoove's prelude playthrough...and at 17 minutes in the first game video...
...flying dragon hits the "Lost and Found" dunk that Jordan Kilgannon does...in game. Oh my god.

Had a slashing/shot creator last year. I was excited about the wingspan news thought I could use a 7’0 wingspan like dwade lol until I saw the shooting caps.
Edit: went back to check default wingspans. At 6’3 it’s 6’9 default for a pure shot pg.Last edited by loso_34; 09-01-2018, 10:19 PM.Comment

Re: Assuming archetypes are similar in 2k19, what you making?
After finishing the Prelude, I'm most likely not going to stick with my Defensive Slasher SF build. Slashing wont be an option until I get my altheticism up. So, I won't be able to do anything on offense until then. I didn't upgrade my player so it is hard to judge. But, couldn't do any on half-court in Prelude.
So now, I'm considering two builds. Still going with Defensive primary and SF since it gives me Brick Wall, Rim Protector, and Hustle Rebounder. I'm deciding between Two-Way Sharp and a Defensive Point Forward. Two Way Sharp is still my original choice. But, Defensive Point Forward, is probably the way I should have went besides Slasher. If I could get Tier 2 Dribble animations and a decent mid range, I could do alot more on offense along with Silver Dimer. But, I'm going to go with my first instinct and go Two-Way Sharp. I have to make default wingspan or less to be a good shooter. I want to have a max 3pt/Mid of at least 80. Then with Gold Brick Wall, Pick and Pop, and Catch & Shoot, I should be able to shoot consistently with at least 80 Shot.
I'm not playing right away though. I want to wait until Opening week in NBA to start plus I have 3-4 other games I want to play first. I will use the MyNBA2k app to save up VC.Comment

I'm having a hard time deciding between 6'6' 205lbs Shot creator/lockdown, shot creator/slasher and 7' 265lbs post scorer/defender.
First one gives me Kobe type of player but I just love being a big man. Ugh, so hard to decide. Might as well go as big man since last 3 yrs I was a guard. But I wanna work that mid range and dunk on people and work in post.Comment

I would go Center. Still going to be a lot of Stretch 4s around but they nerfed Stretch 5s. I’d be worried you’ll end up on the perimeter in a lot of Pro Am games if you pick PF.Comment

Re: Assuming archetypes are similar in 2k19, what you making?
I created a 7 foot post scoring/defensive center on xbone. He's faster than the center I built for the ps4 which is a rim protecting slasher at 7'1.
The xbox center has a nice range hitting twos from everywhere. Can't block for **** though lol The ps4 center I created got defense and has an intimidating presence inside can't shoot for ****.
I'm more defensive minded so my time will go toward my ps4 center.

Re: Assuming archetypes are similar in 2k19, what you making?
In the prelude I made a 6’7’’ SG. Thinking about bumping him up to 6’8’’ and put it on the second lowest wingspan and like 200 lbs to make him a bit faster. I’m doing a shot creating slasher so driving and finishing primary shot creating secondary. I was going to make him a SF, but the same arch at SG gets 3 HOF badges.Comment
