I tend to agree. What I call 'cheese' may actually be 2K's fault of letting that stuff benefit the opponent. Just dudes playing without thought but it doesn't matter......it works and 2K makes it work to keep the game close as well.

So many times I'm like wait what I can't believe you just shot that...oh it went it in....FFS

Real cheese to me is plays like barreling into the paint with Giannis on 4/5 out expecting that to work all game without differentiating.

Exactly...Kush has done a great job making videos after videos about the "little things" that plague the game. At the basic level, the game is not that bad. I get more mad about the "little things" than my opponent attempting to abuse certain aspects of the game.

Little things like....

• Blocking the ball 2 times in a row for it to be grabbed by the offense.
• Passing the ball to the corner only for your teammate to dart into the paint at the last possible moment (legacy problem).
• Good boxout on the rebound, the player behind you still gets it due to better badges and ratings.
• Tipping the pass, and it still magically makes it back to the offense.
• Contested shots (need I say more?).
• Missing open putbacks underneath the basket after pump faking the shorts off your opponent (need I say more?).
• Bad PnR suction animations.
• Untimely AI turnovers (Offensive 3 seconds in the key for example)
• Simple passes being fumbled in catch and shoot situations.
• Simple passes not being caught in the backcourt.

There's more, but I really hate fighting more against the "little things" than actually playing the game.

Yeah sounds about right, but this was basically the end of the game for me because nothing else went right.

It's a shame my overall record will be terrible due to constantly losing games with lag. I honestly don't care though. Right now I'm at 204 losses.

Damn.....I’m at 120 losses. Worst alltime ever on 2k, even way back to Dreamcast days.

I’ll post my stat breakdown after 6 more wins after I reach 200.

Been experimenting with the RS...

It might be placebo, but I think "hands up" by holding down on the RS is more statistically effective than the natural way of holding up.

It also seems to give different contest animations. Any thoughts?

Shooting doesn't make sense.. it should be the better the shooter the less the release needs to be perfect.

I miss open with Harden and CP3 but Westbrook and Jerian Grant are money somehow.

**** happens in the NBA, but the way the games get taken from you are over the top.

Gotta love when other players whole team turns into the best athletes you've ever seen. Every fastbreak stopped, passes intercepted so effortlessly and can guard any movement I make.

Meanwhile the actual human is standing in the corner facegurding.

It's all about those releases. I can hit 3's with Evan Turner and Solomon Hill, but I can't hit the broadside of a barn with George Hill (Classic Pacers Team). Honestly, I'm more comfortable letting it fly with one of the generic players than George Hill.

Some teams seem like they're better defensively than they should be...cough...Kings....cough.

It's all about those releases. I can hit 3's with Evan Turner and Solomon Hill, but I can't hit the broadside of a barn with George Hill (Classic Pacers Team). Honestly, I'm more comfortable letting it fly with one of the generic players than George Hill.

Yeah.. for me whenever I play with the Warriors, I can't seem to shoot with KD. There's a few others that just seem broke.

Have you guys ever played someone who set the pressure to smother for every one and still plays off ball? It's so unrealistic how it turns any defender into a lockdown defender.

Anyway I got my 200 wins, this game can suck balls now. I know I'll get an itch to play, but hopefully I'll keep busy with other games.

If they're using a big, then I'll either pull them out of the paint with some pick and pop action since Turner and Sabonis can hit 3's, or I'll bang them in the paint with West or Hibbert.

Offball defense is only effective if you don't make them move or chase your teammate. Sometime, I'll even keep the action on one side of the court, and make them spectators.

They really do have some broke shooting animations. With the current team, McBuckets is my problem, but I'm deadly with Evans. Go figure.

Yeah I try to run offense in these situations, but sometimes you need to just iso and try to get to the line. I do manually cut players as well against off ballers.

So upset with myself with the L I took last night. Maybe my second game ever with SA, get matched with Chicago. I’m like “okay this should be easy...” Lauri scores 13 in the 1st Q. I go down 23-11. Im not a huge fan of the lineup I trotted out there (moved LMA to C and brought Bertans to PF) because RoLo and Lauri keep grabbing boards. I have like 21 points scored in the first half (I usually average 18 per quarter). Second half I play more Poeltl and attack with LoneStar Demar on the pick and pop with Aldridge. I’m trying to attack Lauri to get him to use some of that energy. What killed me in the first half is that he’d call for Lauri to curl behind the ball handler on the elbows on the 3pt line and the AI wouldn’t defend Lauri essentially running a screen. I shut it down and score like 20pts in the 3rd alone and take a 4pt lead at one point. After a minute into the 4th Q I’m running this scrub offense I did in the first half where I’m not pick and popping with LMA and just forcing bad shots. Bad defense too. I keep it close before I surrender a 7 point lead with a minute left. I rage quit. I never rage quit vs quality guys unless they’re fast breaking and trying to score in 3 seconds which even then that’s a bad offense. It was a good game of Xs and Os. It was 1am my time and I was just disgusted with my lazy play.

Two of my last three or so losses are to the damn Bulls and Lauri is the main reason for it. Zach Lavine I can deal with it. Lauri is just a giant pain in my butt! Not in the Porzingod way. KP in years past I’d try to body him and throw doubles in the post. Or take away the rest of the team. It worked. Lauri is this finesse 3pt shooting big that I can’t keep track of on the perimeter. And he hits bombs.

Omg! All-time teams are truly [emoji893]! Lmao. Just used them for the first time and it was Sacramento in tier 3. Just abused this dude that he didn’t play the last 2 min.
