Honestly, it kinda hard not to blame the game at times. Like the previous poster said, I have had games where I literally made every defensive/offensive adjustments I could think of in the coaching menus, and it feels like I can't catch a break to save my life no matter how methodical I approached the game. Most times than not, I will beat a less skilled player, but I know have lost to people that I know beyond a benefit of doubt that I was better than.
Like in my Portland game (can you tell that I'm still salty about that game, lol?), there was one rebound that clean p*ssed me off. Turner had Kanter boxed out near the FT line, and somehow he managed to grab the rebound from behind despite the ball coming off the rim at a low trajectory where there's no way Turner couldn't get the rebound. Remind you, this was after I made adjustments, because Kanter was getting WAY too many offensive rebounds over Turner and Sabonis to my liking. I was up by 10 points at the half and lost by 17 to an opponent who played off ball with the center and PnR on every possession.
Admittedly, I probably lost my cool and focus at some point, but some of stupid crap that I saw during that run. It probably started when Bojan (my best 3PT shooter) air balled an open 3PT and got the "cold" icon. On another possession, I got behind the defender with a nice euro move, and missed the layup. On two back to back possessions, I passed the ball to Matthews camping in the corner, and this fool let the ball sail pass him out of bounds then the next possession he fumbled the ball giving the defense a chance to recover. Basically, my team is started acting "reckless" on basic basketball possessions while on the other end, Damian Lillard is splashing contested 3's and picking up every ticky tack foul when he attacks the paint. Then there was one possession where he was on a fastbreak, I had established position, held the charge button, and this fool kinda bumped into my player then "slid" around him to get the layup. I was livid at that point.
