am i the only one who doesnt get a blow by animation at will? i played against a dude who used an ai lebron who i needed a screen just to get by with JAMES HARDEN. On the other side of the ball, im onball guarding lebron with PJ TUCKER and all this guy did was drive the entire sideline, force his way baseline, and lay it up EVERY POSSESSION SUCCESSFULLY. I dont get it. You'd think 2k would reward the players actually playing defense instead of hiding on it. It's basically saying, "here you go user, I'll play defense for you while you do nothing". I got ****ed over all game and still won with a iman shumpert buzzer beating 3. 2k20 better force players to play on ball. it should be an automatic blowby if a player refuses to do so.

so you're saying because of my "lag" my opponent can just get away with bull****. it's just me? all the players in the world i play against don't have this lag? i gotta 742-100 record even with this lag? this **** is straight rigged bro this wasnt happening to me early in the game when i had a clean record

Decided to go for 10-0 again in GOAT for the hell of it. Loss on game 9 by 3 because the game decided I was destined to lose the game. Shot better from the field, scored more off of turnovers (although he won turnover battle 11 to 13). Literally lost the game because he shot 14 more shots than me due to offensive rebounds (14-7).

I was using the All time Spurs, he was using All-time Sixers. Wilt and Bob Love outrebounded my team on the offensive glass by themselves with 8 off Rebs between them. The last 34 seconds of the game I was down 1 and he had the ball. Dude literally missed 3 post fades in a row in the last possession and kept getting his own rebound while yelling "oh crap I didn't mean to do that" after every miss before finally hitting a contested post fade with Wilt over David Robinson to ice the game with 5 seconds left and me with no timeouts (I had no timeouts left because this game is awful and you can't have matchup adjustments work without a timeout and I had to blow two just to get Kawhi on Ben Simmons in the 3rd then back onto Julius Erving in the 4th)

When you see the ball flying through bodies to get to Bob Love's hand like its Mjolnir you know 2k decided the game for you

Most teams have a big man who can defend Jokic.

So it usually ends up being Millsap that has the mismatch and goes off for huge point totals.

Pretty sure I played a dude the other night inspired by this post. He went like 6/17 with Millsap, absolutely killing any chance at offense because everything was a rushed shot with Millsap.

Tbh I do t struggle much vs other Portland users. They all Jack terrible shots with Lillard and quit in the 2nd q. The trick with using Portland imo is working their bench. Evan Turner as PG is filthy at getting to the hoop. Meyers Leonard is a beast stretch 5 if you can get his release. Then mix in some Hood and Layman. I personally don’t play Curry. I like to go big on the bench with ET and Hood at guards. Gives me size and shooters. Sometimes I’ll start Collins and play Aminu off the bench. But yeah, Portland isn’t that good if you can’t work the others. Leonard’s release is slow af so ppl usually suck with him even if wide open. Then they have no clue what to do with Turner and try to force Seth Curry into awful situations.

Every rockets user I play is also terrible. They all just shoot threes with harden. I had one dude quit at half after going like 1-15 with Harden. I was like “no way this guy is in my tier he prob just bought the game.”

Yeah, Portland is really starting to piss me off. There's nothing special about this f*cking team, but I keep losing to them. It's literally the same thing. Jack up shots with Damian Lillard, Kanter snatches up all the offensive rebounds, steal spamming (yet this team can avoid fouls, but I'm picking them up left and right), and for whatever reason my team always decides to shoot below 40% while getting blocked or missing numerous layup attempts.

I can't even leave Kanter open, because my last opponent shot 2/3 from 3PT land with him while Myles Turner is airballing his 3PT attempts.

I'd sincerely love to play you both with my Blazers - there's a special sauce with us and I'll have you questioning your sanity by 0.0

Yeah...they're already messing with my sanity, lol. I lost another two games to them last night. When I compare rosters (Pacers vs. Blazers), I feel like I should never lose to them, but I do. Truthfully, Kanter and Lillard are the main problems. The scary part, I think they have an All-Star who's still injured. That team is going to be a handful when they get returned to full strength.

I got cooked by last night. Jason Kidd locked up Lillard. But CJ are Kittles alive. I had to message the guy after the yooooo. Good game. Here kept attacking my switches. Using floaters in the lane, Mid ranges and 3's. I told him I loved every moment of it.

Omg I’m so salty. I’ve won 7 in a row in NBA tier, I have an 11pt lead to begin the 4th against a dude with a 91% win percentage. I’m the Celtics he’s the Bucks. Giannis fan crazy vs me in the first half then I stuck smart on him and play him with moderate on ball coverage. **** him down till last two mins he kept post me up and I had no answer.

On PnR when I’d call for a pop the icon would disappear. I’m pissed because I built this lead with it semi working. It quit working altogether in the fourth. Earlier in game I’d have to run it as roll and then after the reset I could run pop but that’s kill 12 seconds every time. Now it’s not working at all. Now I’m getting buckets exclusively off plays which isn’t bad but I hate calling plays cuz I don’t keep a running list of the money plays. I usually call them when I’m in a pickle and need something. Now my lead disappears and I can’t generate offense as he’s caught on to my plays. Tied at 56 Giannis gets a hook to go up. On the inbound I turn the ball over then he throws it back to me. In the scramble I get two clean 3s with Kyrie and Horford to win. Missed both. ****!!! I’ve never blamed the game for a loss though the broken pick and pop is why I lost this. I’m so pissed right now. It was a great game of back and forth minus a little run I made when Giannis went out. Damn.

Just a heads up... I’d put Sabonis on Kanter. He’s stronger than Turner and is strong on the box out. He can’t defend Kanter all that well but at least he’s not letting Kanter get easy boards or getting under the hoop on the post up.

Using the Bucks for the first time. Da_Czar did an amazing job with their offense. Thank God it's not a freelance. Just have plays is having the offense. So at least I can play with Giannis but not feel bad about it lol.

I'm finally coming back around to hating steal spamming. It has way too much upside and is way too annoying to have almost no negative consequences. It makes doing everything so much more annoying and impossible at times. Your opponent can just switch and spam constantly, if they reach it will either block you from doing anything, steal the ball, or least likely of all it will cause a meaningless foul.

Having fouling being the biggest penalty does nothing to prevent steal spam. The foul limits for players and teams is the same as a full length NBA game, but 2K games are half as long, which means you can fouls TWICE as much as you would be able to in a real game. Having a player get 4 fouls in the 4th quarter is unheard of, and even if it did happen the chance of getting 2 more fouls is nearly impossible. I don't think I've ever seen a player foul out in 20 years of 2K.

The limit to reach the FT penalty is also high compared to how long the games actually are, so you are almost never in the penalty capitalizing on a fouling opponent, even if they are spamming and actually getting called for hacking all game.

Right now I can't even be really mad at steal spammers because it has such a ridiculously high upside, and absolutely no downside.

I can't think of a reason to NOT steal spam.
