Set under screen for off ball, and u'll see yor AI defender goes over.

I will suggest that u play off ball and chase the player yorself, do so for teams that run 3 pt or mid range plays for their shooters. But be careful with manual chase bcos the AI has the capability of reading u cheating the defense and react. And while u chase that means yor on ball defender is AI, and if the defender's defense attributes are weak, u will find the ball handler bullies him while u busy chasing around. Pick yor poise.

I also find switch guards help in a certain way.

Lastly, turn off Ace. And if u do that and u kind of like to play the way the team play irl (in myleague), u need to set yor freelance offense yorself bcos without Ace, the freelance defaults to 3-2 or smtg. So if u play the spurs u wont see default Swing freelance with Ace off.

What kind of defensive adjustments do you guys make during timeouts, if any? How do you react do the CPU's playstyle? There are so many settings...

Do you also make offensive adjustments during timeouts?

Will the CPU still adjust to the way you attack and defend, even with ACE turned off?

How do I know what freelance offense to select? For now, the CPU is still calling plays from the playbook.
How does ACE (on) call plays compared with ACE (off)?

I'll usually set catch hedge go under for onball screen. If the ball handler is making shot at high percentage after the screen, I'll adjust to go over and soft hedge. I'll then need to get ready in bringing off ball defender to help cover the roll man.

Most non-shooting PF i'll set gap. If OKC Grant gets hot behind the arc, I adjust to moderate. Similarly, I didnt realise rondo in 2k19 can make 3s. So adjust it.

With ace on and play calling on auto, AI will call a mixture of series, plays from yor playbook and freelance.

Freelance and series are tied to the team playbook.

With Ace off and play calling on manual, yor team will run the default freelance every single time. u just need to call for the freelance u want to run once and it defaults for u the rest of the game. When u dun want to run the freelance, call a play from the playbook.

Its up to u which freelance u want to run. I used to run the triangle back in 2k16. I'm so disappointed with the knicks triangle that i picked up the swing offense from spurs. Swing, Thru and Horns are some of my favourite freelance. But I prefer manual play calling.

Not sure if it's something in the gameplan or completely random.

In thse situations i like to use off ball control and make the shooter run to the open spot myself. Too many times they cut when i want them to apot up, or vice versa. Its not an ideal fix but it happens maybe once or twice a quarter.

R1, hold down player icon, move him, release to pass. R1 again to cancel.

Its not hard once you get the hang of it.

Alternatively, after the players cross mid court, icon lead pass away from the basket

How come the CPU never post up. I have look for post players and post shots on 100. All my bigs tendencies are 100. I don't like them running plays but I turned it up to 75 still nothing.

I just picked this up over the holidays. I know there is a gym to practice moves but is there a way for the moves to come up on screen and then let me make the button/stick inputs? Or do I just have to look up the move and then just practice without? I can't dribble for s***. Thanks [emoji1417]

Can someone recommend any good cutter plays this year for the "play initiator" to get an assist? In 2k18, I ran two plays "Cut 2 Dive 4 Out" and "Cut 12 Give Alley" that worked pretty well to get whoever I wanted my play initiator to be an assist. Those plays seem to never work this year though.

Ice is one way to defend Pick n Roll. What you have to do is, instead of going over or under the pick, prevent the ball handler from using the pick. When the pick is set, you need to move next to the pick before the ball handler does.

Can someone help me with finding some quick 3pt players for a PF???

Just trying to get some new plays for my 2 way stretch PF in mycareer so I can get better looks.

Need some quick hitters ... the longer developing plays simply dont work cause you get stuck on your teammates and the AI the entire time so the play ends up being dead before u can even get to your 2nd marker.

Any help would be appreciated

What set of sliders are you guys using to get more realistic results in shooting. especially with outside / mid-rage shooting? I feel like i have guys wide open and miss all the time, and on all star/ superstar difficulty even wide open J's are missed with some good frequency even for me to deal with.
