I know that I had build in my mind, and I created it accordingly. I watch YouTube to get a better understanding of the badges, but that's about it.
I made the purest rookie Shaq build you could possibly make. 7ft full blue pie chart with shorter arms at 280lbs. The paint beast pie is okay but I need more than an 80 hook shot rating. I don't think people give Shaq's touch around the rim enough credit.

Gave him a custom Shaq jumpshot with a better base, Shaq's FT, Shaq's hookshots, Shaq's dunk package and bigman contact dunks only.

I'm 84 ovr and have half of my finishing badges unlocked but the build is holding it's own against rim-protectors and paint beasts with HOF intimidator/rim protector.

Pro touch is such a good badge for making hook shots. Rebounding is so much better this year. I actually get rewarded for boxing out so I don't even need rebound chaser(Shaq didn't really chase boards anyway). Moving truck and brickwall on gold makes the build feel like a man-mountain. And even tho I only had contact finisher on silver(it's gold now) I was able to get a good amount of posterizing standing dunks.

Most people are scared to use a non-shooting big but if you know how to space the floor with him properly it won't matter. Played with 3 slashers and a paint beast the other day and we won by 20 points against a squad running meta offense and zone defense. We only made 3 3s the whole game.

Post scorers have been underrated for a while now just because guys don't know how to handle a double team. I average 4 assists a game just from finding the open man when I get doubled in the post. You can also split it with a post hop or just do a post spin as soon as you get the ball and score before they double you.

Once I get HOF consistent finisher, backdown, contact finisher, and drop stepper I'll be unstoppable. I might get deep hooks too, maybe max it out at silver.

Officially I average 13pts, 9rbs, 4ast, 1stl, 2blk. FG% is around 58%(I miss standing layups because my finishing badges were only silver). FTs are at 65% even with a 50 FT rating.

Recently I've been scoring in the 20s and almost always have 12 or more boards a game. The build is just way too fun. Noone knows how to defend the post at all. The hook shot in Shaq's package when he goes over his opposite shoulder is unblockable. Even when it's 100% smothered it will go in thanks to pro-touch. Paint-beasts and glass-cleaners can't get easy offensive rebounds because I have the box-out badge on gold lol. Drop-steps don't work because I have gold post-move lockdown.

When I get the post scoring takeover it's a wrap. Best isolation scoring takeover in the game imo. It's a guaranteed bucket. Backing down is easier, hook shots are more successful, the drop-step and post-spin animations you get are god-like, and I feel like it's easier to get contact dunks when it's active.

I'd rate it 9/10 only because I can't get HOF brickwall and moving truck. I go for accuracy over function so not being able to upgrade those badges with a 95 strength build bothers me a bit.

I might use the same pie chart to make a Lou Alcindor build. Right now I'm making a Kerry Kittles-esque build for my squad. I've been trying to make a Kevin Garnett build for a while now but I haven't been satisfied with anything.

I'm 6'9 and usually demolish my match up on the glass. Those guys i won't get a rebound for 3 quarters.

Just because you cant do it does not mean others cant.

Played against plenty of them and i can count on 1 hand the times i got beaten badly going for defensive rebounds....

I have little chance getting boards on offense tough.

I never understood it myself. I can understand games like COD, because you can show measured metrics for each gun. In NBA 2K....either you know how to play or you don't. Don't get me wrong. There are some builds that do flatout suck, but most builds are usable depending on a person's playstyle and badge setup. Most these of "popular" YouTube builds are just different variations of the SF/SG that can dunk and shoot 3's. Boring!

I remember watching multiple videos where they state that your speed rating is "not important" or doesn't matter. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnn...I love my 99 speed and acceleration with the HOF First Step badge. I play PNO sometimes, and I feel so lost without the extra speed burst, lol. It's like "How do dudes play with these slow builds"?

EDIT: While I'm thinking about it. Most of these builds are more geared towards MyPark. In the MyPark, most builds is straight up garbage. However, I think that's more to do with the fact it's 2v2 or 3v3. It's just easier to get to the rim or have wide open looks IMHO. When I create a build, I build it under the knowledge that I will be using it mostly in REC. That's why I never really cared about the height. As long as I'm able to stay in front my man and force them to pick up the ball, I'm really not that concern with people shooting over the top of me.

          What’s the easiest/cheapest/most newb jumpsuit ?

          Yes I have no shame.

Someone told me last year to use base 35 or something like that....

Side note I’m a 5-10 Point guard, Damon Stoudamire/Nark Price type build..

I use the Rudy Gay jumper, because it looks the closest to my real life jumper. I had a different jumpshot, but it had this weird hitch to it on pull-up jumpers. By coincidence, I can actually hit corner 3's with ease now.

EDIT: Since you use the Raptors only in PNO, I would tell you use one of their players' jumpers.

That’s what thought to do, but Lowry’s jumpshot is not available......

Ray Allen would be closer to my real life jumper. Very text book and straight up and down. But I’ve never used Ray online.

              I think I need cheese jumper 101 here....lol

Base 98 is the most cash jumper in the game. Either that or Steph i think. My buddy paid for the premium 2k labs account.

If you don't have jump shot creator, base 98 is cool. If you have the creator you can put whatever release you want.

Yeah, the base jumper looks weird and you'll probably need your meter for the first few games. But i highly suggest turning your meter off once you get the hang of it a bit.

This is the stuff that I like seeing. People who's willing to break the meta and show that you can still ball out. Every player doesn't have to be 6'4" to 6'9" with max wingspan, high dunk rating, etc. I love using my 6'0" PG, and I just created a 7'0" "Interior Force" build last night. Now, I just got to learn how to use post moves again, lol. Not sure how often I'll get to use them, since it's so rare that guards past to the post and get the hell out of the way.
