I agree game speed needed a boost in speed the problem is you can blow by your defender for a lay up at anytime. CPU defense feels like it is stuck in the mud at times....And this is on HOF setting

Yeah it’s not about the speed I’ve been telling people this. It’s about speed gap. Certain players should be faster than others, but not at the cost of everyone running through mud.

The faster game speed is definitely needed man. Half these ppl complaining it’s too fast have never gone to a live nba game, players don’t move like they are on the moon! These guys move fast. Shooting needs to be faster as well.

I played last night offline and it still felt good to me, fwiw in MyLeague.

We´ll see, I´ve never been to an NBA game since I am from Europe (Croatia) but I´ve been to plenty of games here. Things that were never realistic IMO regarding the speed were layups, small guys were practically useless since layup speed was too slow and bigs were too fast. IMO pass speed is a bit too fast, you rarely see cross court passes IRL that are not intercepted but in this game you can pretty much pass without too much awareness, bad passes should be punished more often.

I´ll see how it plays, most of the comments have been positive, so I hope it´ll be good.

Park. I think the other modes were all fine? But Park was brutal... it took a player like three seconds to run baseline to baseline... I've seen a lot of good basketball, but it was like a game on double fast forward

Oh it's in the features tab. Then go to settings and it's right there.

The game speed in play now was plain goofy looking. It wasn't so much the pace. It was that foot planting and weight was compromised along with it. I get it. These athletes are very fast. But at some point you have to find a balance... And this ain't it.

Yeah I was playing last night and didn't notice much of a difference in scrimmage mode. I was hoping that was the case for play now.

Honestly, I think 2k could really help resolve tensions if they communicated better. I don't play online. Apparently, the online and offline game speeds were quite a bit different. I love the gameplay offline myself but a lot of people are thinking the speed has changed offline? Maybe it has? I'm just confused myself, it could all be a placebo effect. Either way 2k can do a much better job with communication to help us understand what is going on with the game and if issues are going to eventually be resolved. I feel like they used to be really good at communication but it's been lost along the way somehow.

Speaking from someone who had the game before the day 1 or anything else, it definitely was changed.

I didnt see any funny business until after that last speed buff made, and while it wasnt park speed i know it affected something like sliding defenders out the way.

I had made a clip previous to that to show you how great the bumping between offense and defense was... look at how the defender moves his feet instead of getting slid out the way.. it was a moving screen, illegal screen called on the cpu




Anyway its not messed up or unplayable or anything, just faster, which of course will negate some things.

Ya think they could communicate better? Unless I haven't found them, we got a patch and no official notes.

All we can do is just hope Mike doesn't buckle. I've seen a lot of complaints of it being slow. I love the speed and pacing more control and less chaotic

Yeah, I really hope they dont give in like they seem to do every yr, and change the gameplay because of the online crybabies. Does the game have some issues, that need fix, sure, as its the same issues every yr, with lack of fouls. It also sounds like MyLeague has some of the same issues it always has, tha need fixed as well.



But outside of that, Im loving gameplay. It seems every yr the gameplay starts out solid, then the online whiners start crying to the devs on social media, and next thing you know they are changing things, and it ruins gameplay.



If the devs mess things up this yr, due to listening to these little kids who play online, I think Im done with NBA2k. I dont know why they just cant fix the bugs and glitches, and leave the dang gameplay alone.
