The negativity is warranted because we were lied to to begin with. Especially Ronnie. Its unacceptable for a game to have so many technical issues like this. Especially with a game with micro transactions. Yall can sugarcoat all you want but 2K hit the ball this year.

"The patch will be done when it's done."
Since dudes already think they're lying about working on the patch anyways.
EDIT: Damn...it's like people get high off companies issuing apologizes and compensation, and the game haven't been out a week yet.Last edited by ksuttonjr76; 09-12-2019, 01:00 PM.Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
What Ronnie said ain't got crap to do with the announcement of the d*mn patch. Get over it. That's the point of the patch. To ADDRESS issues, duh. If you think that EVERY FREAKING announcement is an opportunity to voice your displeasure and attack the staff of the game despite efforts to make it right, then it's time for 2K Sports to shut down ALL forms of social media and just let dudes figure it out while making a final post of...

Compare Ronnie2k mentions to LD2K mentions and you'll see a big difference in responses. Ronnie brought it upon himself to get bashed due to all the lies and dream selling leading up to the game. At this point they know what comes with being associated with 2k. You have to take the good with the bad.Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Don't blame the community blame 2k. Year in and year out it's the same mess. Game is released in beta form and theirs no transparency or communication. You see your mentions blow up from people who are all having the same problem with your game yet you don't acknowledge it until a couple days to a week later? Don't tell me these guys are too busy to hop on Twitter when both Ronnie and Beluba were liking positive tweets about the game. People want answers as to when things are going to get fixed. This years problems were CRUCIAL to the game. No rep and badge progress whatsoever. What are people playing for?! Nobody is saying they aren't working their asses off to fix the issues or drop patches. People just want to in the loop to make sure 2k knows about the issues and that they're going to fix it.

I guess people have never heard of the concept of "getting enough samples" to make sure that there's a genuine problem or isolated incidents.Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
IDK why they feel the need to change the game so much from year to year. Just take last years game, and make it better. Stop adding so much nuance.
This is probably the final ps4 only game, next year will probably see ps5, so why not just roll out a copy of 2k19 with slight improvements, and make a game changer for the ps5?Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Ironically...the 2K Community STILL won't know how long it will take to fix, because the engineers/developers have to troubleshoot to figure out how deep the problem is.Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
So everyone want 2K to release the game on Friday, and acknowledge on Sunday that there are problems? Okay...that sounds like a realistic timeframe. You do realize that the status went up on Wednesday, September 11?

You got it tho.... Imma let you rock lol.Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Quit with the excuses. There were MORE than enough "Samples" to make sure there was a genuine problem. #Fix2k20 was a dead giveaway. If my mentions are blowing up from release date to Sunday about reoccurring problems with the game you damn right I'd acknowledge it. I feel that's my job to do so if I'm a community manager. A simple "We're aware of the badge and rep issues some of you are experiencing. We're trying our best to get it resolved" would've prevented the whole negative press to takeoff like it did. Of course everybody is not going to be happy. Some will feel it needs to be corrected NOW but I think most would be at ease knowing they're trying to correct the problem. Customer Service and communication goes a long way. It's something that this company really has to work on.

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Don't really know why you're so overzealous in defending a company that has shipped a full price game (with a slew of microtransactions before one can enjoy a number of modes) with so many bugs.
Now, if this were free game, that would be different.PSN: KarlMarx24Comment

It acknowledges that they know about it and are working on fixing it, which, as many have stated, is better than nothing.

1) Most (if not all) video games have bugs/glitches when released.
2) Don't care about microtransactions, because people have the power of choice NOT to purchase VC.
3) Mike Wang and his team have been pretty good about releasing patches as quickly as possible. I want to say that it was NBA 2K18 where they released 3 patches before the month of September was over. Their "track record" speaks for itself.
4) I'm not going to lose sleep, because 2KSports didn't make an official announcement about a future patch.
5) I can still enjoy the game despite the bugs/glitches.
EDIT: Patch 3 for NBA 2K19 dropped on 9/27/018. Release date was 9/7/2018 if you got the early release.

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Not sure if you guys noticed but the 2K community is going bonkers on Twitter about 2K20 displeasure. The hashtag #Fix2K20 is even trending.
This worries me because i fear that the devs will change things that do not need to be changed. The game is verrrryy glitchy and buggy. Disconnects, crashes, no rep, and overall infrastructure bugs most DEFINITELY need to be fixed.
However, the GAMEPLAY imo is some of the best we've ever had in a 2K game. I'm seeing opinions on gameplay split between sim and casual guys. I play My Team which is one of the cheesiest modes in the game, but SIM/realistic gameplay is truly being rewarded there once you know what you're doing. The skill gap is much bigger this year, so a lot of the guys that are struggling are complaining.
My fear is that the devs mistake the glitchy bugs that need to be fixed for gameplay changes as well. Gameplay is good. We maybe need 1 or 2 MINOR gameplay tweaks and the game is golden. Please do not do anything drastic.

Mike Wang
Scott OG

Idk if you guys will see this, but you have to stand your ground when it comes to gameplay this year. Yes the bugs need to be fixed asap, but PLEASE do not give in to the outcry for gameplay changes. This is the first time in a while where i've actually had to spend a decent amount of time in PRACTICE MODE to learn the game, learn how to dribble, learn how to score, learn how to play defense. As someone who values skilled competitive gameplay, this is amazing. Allow people time to learn the game before you change too much of the gameplay. Please please please i BEG YOU.Comment

Now instead of cheering 3 patches in one month, why not ask why all these patches are needed in one month. If it's 'Twitter being Twitter', that's on 2k for buckling. If it's a broken game, also on 2k.
You mist own stocks in 2k. It boggles my mind that you continue to defend them and tell gamers who've paid for the game to wait, indefinitely because 'who cares about communication', for them to 'get around' to fixing the game at their leisure.PSN: KarlMarx24Comment

Re: The uproar on Twitter about 2K20
Great that you can enjoy the game anyway. I do too at this point because the mode I play isn't broken to the point of unplayable (Mycareer/ProAm). However, that doesn't mean that other gamers qualms are unjustified. My gripe, was the misleading info leading up to release.
