Game froze on me in the middle of a park game. Rebooted 2k only to find my original myplayer save completely deleted. Straight BS. 93 overall gone. Hit 2k support up and of course you got to submit a ticket so I’m hoping for the best.

Yeah. Somehow, I got lucky last night. Played 6 games before it finally shut down. Can't complain.

                  My bad fellas.

I don't want to take chances with waiting it out, as it happened to me for months on 2K21. Last night, I got shut off during the fourth quarter yesterday, it's uber frustrating.

It's a shame that it's coming to this, but I will settle for the Series S in the meantime. Considering 2K is the main game I play, I'll probably send in the XSX into XBOX and sell the "new" XSX I receive here locally.

Then hopefully in a year, I can switch back to XSX when it's fixed. My hand has been forced to settle for less than native 4K gaming

Please take some time and think about it before you do it. You're talking about letting go of a console that is ridiculously hard to get a hold of right now and downgrading to a lesser console over one game. I say that while having owned a Series S before I got my Series X and loved it. Have you thoroughly researched and made sure that it's not happening on the Series S as well?

I did a quick Google search and saw that there are gamers who have the Series S that have reported crashing as well. I just don't want you to make a decision that you'll regret later man is all.

Ridiculous on my end, Microsoft's, or both? lol

Luckily with the chip shortage, I can probably still make a profit with the used XSX and pocket some money with the switch to the S.

Thanks for the message. I'll need to do some more due diligence regarding issues with the Series S before making this decision. I had not heard of any issues prior to your message.

I at least have a couple of disc games I'll need to finish on the XSX before making that decision.

That would be a terrible idea for a bunch of reasons.

Re: Nba2k22 turning off the console (Xbox series X)

I don't mind waiting for a patch since the Series X consoles are so hard to come by right now, the PS5 controller is too small to fit my hands, and there are at least some modes that do work consistently:

                                MyCareer 5v5
                                Park 2v2 & 3v3
                                MyTeam 3v3 offline
                                Pro Am 3v3

I just wish I had more 5v5 modes that worked because I'm a 5v5 player at heart and playing all this 3v3 in the past week has really reminded me how much of an unstrategic and kid friendly mode it is, in that you barely have to know anything about basketball to have success. And after you've played a dozen 3v3 games you've basically seen everything that could possibly happen in them since its strategic options are so limited offensively/defensively compared to 5v5.
