Are you doing it through the MS account? Can you say what options you choose under "device" - "issue type" and if you gotta describe the issue? I can't find an option that comes close to our issue.

I just used Xbox will not turn on. It seems like that's the closest to it, then I just described that it was shutting off the Xbox during gameplay. I didn't get into too much more detail because realistically I'm also not trying to give them a reason to refuse me on some technicality. I just want a timely replacement for a piece of hardware that's obv not working as intended, whether the software is causing it ultimately or not.

EDIT: and I used the online service as HBK just outlined. Don't waste time playing phone tag. I made this order at midnight last night and had it well-packed and in a UPS driver's hands (good luck that I was receiving something today so I just gave it to them) with a pre-paid expedited (for $10.59) label by 4PM today. I'm expecting to have a replacement this time next week.

Was it a repair or an exchange? Manufacturer date?

Exchange . Sept. 21 . But has the same problems my old one (series x, day one, january 21). Console turns off ...today i'll call again for another replacement 🤐

I call MS with phone (they write in the issue 'slow performance system) for the replacement, and they send me a console;
my old console was manifactur date 4 jun 2021 , this new is 17 sep 2021 and this console don't shut down, i played finally 2 game in row and nothing happend, and i think it was hot how the old..

The weird thing is I can play regular games with 12 minute quarters just fine, but it only shuts down in MyCareer if I go into Brickley's or the Old Gym. Usually shuts down near the end of the 1st game in either of those gyms, but I completed the entire NCAA and G League storyline games with 0 shutdowns and never had it shut down during a regular NBA game, so there is definitely something fishy going on, and I don't think sending my Series X back will ultimately fix it. I think (and hope) we just have to give them a bit more time to get to the bottom of this.

Just got my exchange. Manufacturer date Aug 2020. Definitely a refurbished one but if it works, that’s all I care about. Will keep everyone updated.

Are you guys using surge protectors or plugging straight into the wall? Sounds like the latter might help (as well as possibly turning on Energy Saving Mode), but I haven't had a chance to test yet:

I had hope that the new update would have fixed this but it has not.

I tried both ways, it didn’t make a difference.

This has never happened on a different game. Only on NBA 2k22 and only in MyCareer. I usually don’t get into MyCareer but I have this year for some reason and now it is almost unplayable.

Honestly, I think we're past the point as consumers that there's nothing that we can do individually to protect ourselves. Truthfully, I wish it was a problem where it would happen on multiple games outside the sports titles. If that were the case, then we can definitely say it's a hardware problem. Right now, it seems like it's a software leading to a hardware problem, so some of us still have hope that it'll be fixed via a game patch or firmware update.

Every game I played in MYNBA dashed in the middle of it. It is the most frustrating thing ever. Definitely did not fix it.
